hi all i have a 2ft main tank with a 2ft sump tank. the 2nd chamber of my sump is now full of cheato, but i think it is too thick the light cannot reach, the bottom part keep melting. ok my point is, since the light cannot reach so deep in(only 1-ft high). Can i make a DSB in the 2nd chamber of my sump? If yes, how deep should the sand be? and grade 0 or 1 sand? If no, what should i put at the bottom as i think the cheato can only reach the light at the top. maybe LR?
