Was told that there's a calculation for height of MH lamp to hang on tank? Mine was a 4x2x2.5(H) FOWLR. Wanted to place the MH higher to reduce heat in the water then I was told that there's a calculation or wat's the recommended height that the expert here would suggest? Assumed with coral n without coral,wat r the height above water surface?

Understand n seen some LFS with v nice LR that covers with coraline algae so just wanna check with the expert here wat r the things I should do to make it become purple again? I used to have them purple colour but after sometime brown algae grow on top instead of purple!

Can some expert help to advise on how to remove mantis shrimp? My previous tank used to have 1 uninvited when purchasing LR. Throw in many shrimp end day all gone n finally found out the culprit. Try trapping etc cannot get then resort taking out the LR that it hide n force it out. Now history repeat liao. Heard tag tag tag sound in my new tank but yet to see 1 hopefully is I hear wrongly but in case if there is 1,how to get rid of it???

Some1 intro me reef octopus skimmer. I think the model is NW-150-6530. That's the only thing I can found on the box. Say was meant for 150 gallon wan so wanna check with u guys this skimmer suitable for my tank?

So meaning mine's around 600L so must use something not less than 6000L/H lo? But wat I notice is with my current 2400l/h pump somehow already disturbing the sand at the bottom Liao till the extend I need to place a LR there to break the current.
