How can i use my existing tank to be a sump tank? and what is the depenency? as for the design of the sump, i got totally no idea. very sorry still very new to marine.

Bro.. what i mean is the design of the part where the water overflows to the sump. i've attached a picture of a design of a overflow system which i saw from one of the members here. The red colour part is the part where the water overflows.. what i need to know is the measurements.. the diameter of the hole..

i would like to use back my 2FT X 1.5FT wrought iron stand, so i've decided on a 2FT x 1.5FT tank size. Wanted to make an overflow tank and a sump tank but got no idea on the measurements of the part where the water overflows and the designs and measurements of the sump tank. After looking through the "members tank spec forum", it seems that most of your seems to focus of their livestocks and corals instead of their tank setup.

Hi guys. After reading up for so long, i decided to setup a marine tank. Currently i've a 2FT X 1.5FT X 1.5FT tank with a wrought iron stand. I decided to make another tank with an overflow system.. but got no idea on how to design it. And also is it possible to convert my old tank into a sump tank? looking through the members tanks, everyone seems to have very different design of the overflow system and sump but without exact measurements, i could ask my LFS to custom make the tank/sump. Any members can help?
