  4. width of the cabinet ? and height of the cabinet ? i may consider getting the cabinet, and making a shallow 3 ft tank .
  5. Another attempt at RBTA !! It was moving around initially when i first introduced it into the tank and was pretty annoyed by the fact that it has not found a place to rest its footing. And from the looks of it, it seems pretty comfortable with its current position. :yahoo: Always wanted to have an anemone because I like to see the special relationship it hase with the clowns. And am also tired of seeing my clown hosting on my goniopora and when the lights are off, the silly fish has a dome shape rock as bed. Introduced this anemone for 6 days already. And today this was what I saw... :yahoo:
  6. Was considering whether to get myself a denitrator and was doing a bit of research. Many has claimed it can reduce nitrate significantly but there are also minority mentioning the "difficulty" of kicking it start and the risk of it choking and not forgetting the stability of pH. Wanna know who else is also using it and how this equipment is able to improve the water quality. If I were to get a denitrator, what else must i do in order to do it right ? People who had given up on a denitrator please share your views and opinions as well. What about comparing NP biopellets with denitrator ?
  7. have not... never seen or heard before. maybe i shall try it but what kind of netting are u referring to ? if i can get a netting. roll it up into a cone shape and attach it to the outflow pipe using cable tie . it might helps ?
  8. Current cleaning crew: 4 x turban snail 2 x nassarius snail 1 x serpent starfish ( not sure it is a cleaning crew or not) 1 x tuxedo urchin Any good CUC to recommend for cleaning of sandbed ?
  9. This is how my overflow looks like. Washing machine pipe was used to channel the water to sump. outflow diameter is i think 1" each. x 2 . I don't think i've enough space for a durso pipe bro. Probably one outflow would suffice but i was kiasu when i was making this tank. Opted for 2 outflows and now the noise is x 2 . lol. any idea on how to improve on it ?
  10. Frag was gotten from 2 of my friends from the latest GO shipment. Frag dropped onto the sand bed few days ago and wasn't looking good. hopefully it can survive. =)
  11. Pics was taken before it decides to move. i don't think i can photograph it anymore. =(
  12. it is a small box with 2 holes drilled and leads to the sump. noise is unbearable. lol. i will not do this in future !! Yeah. I'm the one at thairun's place. The day after i got the zoas from thairun, i went down to CF and got this PBT.Am really happy with this healthy fish and indeed i love this PBT(very handsome). wish it will stay small forever =) wasn't feeding for the first 3 days and thankfully, it is feeding happily now =) Bro, the RBTA decided to move !! gosh.. move to a spot where i can't really see it. I thought it was missing this morning. But luckily it resurfaced just now when i came back home. i was really worried where it was when i was at work during the day . heng ah, everything is ok . just that i don't like the position the RBTA is at now. I will post a pics of the RBTA later on.
