Normally I'll add the LS slowly. While the LS still in the plastic bag, I'll introduce some of my tank water into the bag at 1/4 for 5 mins to 10 mins to let climatised with the tank water. After abt 30 mins or so, I put them in. This will not shock them too much.

Mine open so big yet the base so small. They open only when there is bright light. They don't like high current also. I have to put it at the left corner where the current is low. My light is 250W MH....

DSB at my refugium really helps. Nitrates level drops significantly than without DSB.

My 2.5ft tank has nitrate problems for months (50ppm). Then i started using DSB and skimmer, and do 15-20% water change every week, now after 3 months, nitrate ard 5ppm.

That's why we have to start colonising Mars....

Have to clean it first before introducing to the tank.
