Inside the CR, the pH can be quite low (abt 6.5) to dissolve the calcium media. Putting the calcium media in the sump will not dissolve the media as the reef water's pH is more than 8.0. Putting the calcium media will be a nitrate factory instead.

Take it slowly on the equipment. Try to save up to get the better ones. No need to use the top up water, just use distilled water or DI water. Good if you can use startup bacteria to get correct strain on initial setup.

With an increase of animals in the tank, additional filtering means should be added and/or replaced more frequently. Water change is also more frequent and higher %. Additional animals means more food and more poo. More nitrates/phosphates will be present and the water will be more toxic, the animals immune system will get deterioated, and easily get sick and die.

I think you should change your fish to those that live in caves where it is dark and the fish are almost blind. Then no need any light at all

Yes, they do not have any labels or whatsoever. But the skimmer performance is well known around the reefing community.

1) Try not to dose vodka coz your tank is not matured yet. Use prodibio or other bacteria sumpplement to boost your bacteria colony. 2) Many in-sump skimmer water level is effected by the sump water level. So need to place the in-sump simmer in the sump compartment where the water level stays constant. 3) Throw that liverock that is infested with aiptasia. Better still, lend it to me coz my seagrass filefish is longing to eat aiptasia
