Yep, anything new tank with new rocks and sands should be cycled. Best if kick start by putting the beneficial bacteria, then slowly add livestocks.

Get take the measurement first, then do the compartments for incoming water from tank, with filter, another compartment for skimmer pump, then refugium, then compartment for fluidised reactor for carbon/phospate/nitrate (whatever), then chiller pump, then no-bubble compartment for return pump(s). After making drawings on the measurement, head to Kelantan lane, or there's a shop beside GO, to make your sump. 6mm thickness will do.

6line wrasse normally is super hardy. Water change with NSW will be good. BTW, what epoxy are you using?

Wow, seems like buying on impulse to start the hobby ! I think there is a lot of work for you in terms of understanding the marine setup, water parameters and equipment. Hope you approach some reefers here to get the right info... better talk face to face than waiting for answers to pop by here.

Add 2 or 3 hardy cheap fishes for tank to cycle. Dose good bacteria to kick start the nitrogen cycle. A few weeks after diatom bloom, algae bloom, then slowly add corals. Always check your water parameters every week, especially kH.

It's ok if there is minimal evaporation, as long as the water parameters are alrite.
