I think you should read on marine setup first before starting anything. You might be conned by LFS into buying expensive stuffs. I'm not sure whether your cabinet can take the weight of the salt water as salt water is about 20-30% more than the tap water. You might need some rocks, etc, so the weight is huge. I think you should change the cabinet to a stronger one with those wooden beams such as chengal or kapor to support the massive weight. Then you need a sump below to house your filteration systems. A good skimmer, may be Deltec or H&S Ok, your glass thickness is 12mm. Should be barely ok. Since it will be fish-only tank, then, can let the salinity to be 1.020, lighten the weight abit.

Height should be ok All around 8mm or 10mm. More braces below. Use good silicon. Pump flowrate can be 3000 to 4000lph. Hole diameter can be 1inch - 1.5inch

IMO, magnet cleaner will scratch the tank surface. I bound to scratch certain area of the glass when I use those strong expensive magnet cleaners. I think the cleaning surface will pick up some small grain of sand or those hard coraline algae and while cleaning the glass, there would be some scratches. Now, I'm lazy abit and let the coraline grow on the glass surface, and once a month I will use those scrapper to clean the glass. I notice that the razor thin scrapper doesn't scratch the glass surface even though I was removing both types of algae. Careful when using the credit card, try to use those 'expired' new ones which have smooth edges.

How well you maintain the water parameter, still the algae will appear. That's why constant husbandry is important. Once the lazyness starts, algae will bloom. When lose the battle, that's where the decom starts also. Normally, after 3-4 years, the tank will stabilised, less algae will flourish and will enjoy the fruit of your labour. I had a 2feet tank before, and algae is always a menace. After 4 years, not a algae in sight, probably due to my deep-sandbed at my sump, running around that duration. The only algae is the purple ones..
