Yup, GP = golden pearls. The clams require sufficient amt nitrogen from nitrates to build its shell. But main think is good flow and strong flow.

I use coralife salt most of the time. My sps, clams, fishes are doing well. I never bother about my clams so much as I know they are doing well. There are lots of floating food or debris which the clams can pickup. I feed my fishes with Henry's food once every 2 days. Dose GP every 2 or 3 days. My water parameter Ca=430, kH=10, Mg=1400, PO4=0, NH3=0, pH=8.0, Sg=1.025....

I've got shrimps and hermits. Both are living together very well. My cleaner shrimps have been molting like nobody business and growing fast as well as my hermits. I've put bigger empty shells and the hermits have changed to new homes. It is advisable to dose iodine regularly if you have inverterbrates to aid their molting.

I think your tank is not matured enough. Is your tank still in cycling process? Probably high nitirite.

It will take sometime for the main tank calcium level to rise as the inhabitants are consuming the calcium at the same time. What is the pH and kH value for the effluent?

gua ada purple tang sama hippo tank. Itu dua ekor tak kisah kalau ada hair algae pun ... dah seronok makan Henry's food. Kalau tak expose lampu, nanti semua sps gua jadi coklat la beb. Kalkwasser gua top satu tablespoon dengan DI water tiap2 hari. Phosphate kosong, nitrate pun kosong. Cheato gua kasi lampu 24 jam. Beckett skimmer gua pun tak der apa2 nak skim. Gua rasa downgrade skimmer gua to weipro cukup la...

Sky107lian kena pakai ler... nitrate dier lebih 25ppm... tinggi siut. FYI, gua dah pakai mgcl + mgsl lebih dari dua minggu. Tak der side effect langsung. Tank Mg sekarang at 1400ppm ++. Bryopsis dah mula surut ... tapi grape algae makin banyak. Binatang apa makan grape algae?
