hi really thanks for the reply!! thanks alot!!!! for fan can i use a protec fan..... big and strong.... for top up.... yep i will diy a auto top up system.....top up with fresh water slowly... to maintain the water temp.....i will set a timer to the fan to on 1 hour stop 1 hour....in the day and when the light is on at night, fan will on through out.... is that ok?.... hmmm i thiknk i will go for the fan then.... however if can get teco macro at a cheap price why not???... for the hand on skimmer...... waht is a overflow version ???? and prizm skimmer abit noise right?.... and for light can i do with 18w+11w pl..... or 18w+18w? thanks

hi i use to have a plan to set up a 2ft cube reef tank.... however deal to having alot of problem that i had encounted.... thus decided to start with a smaller take that i have before going to a bigger tank.... currently i have two tank... 1.5x1x1 ft going to use 1 as the main tank and another one as a sump with dsb inside..... i had already done a diy overflow for it.... lighting: im using 3 pl light.... two 11w and one 18w im going to keep some hardy fishes.... and some easy coral.... the think im worry is the temp of my tank....and the skimmer.... i found that in order not to increase the temp..... im going to use a air power skimmer .. as no pump in the sump=lower temp.... or skimmer that is being hang on....as the powerhead is located outside.... as one can advice???? and to control the temp..... a small chiller will be nice like teco macro..... if not im going to but a profantec fan to lower the temp... can anyone advice which skimmer to get .....???? and any other point i must take note off?... thanks

hai really got alot of thought in just lighting alone.... so much more harder then FW tank.... wow but i think every one of u there had been throught what im going through so if u all can do it... so can i i know using pl is cheaper... however it produce alot of heat also!... so no no.... a chiller is way way over my pocket can tahan.... can i but 1 hugh clip on fan in the sump and 1 on top to cool the MH and the tank down? and is there a clip on MH?.... cos getting 8 T5 is wow!!!!!

after reading for a while i think i will go for 150w MH.... its cheaper then 8 T5 however is there a clip on MH light....?? i cant hang things on my ceiling.... and i dont not have a chiller... is it ok? thanks a million!

WOW! Seems like there's a whole of info and knowledge that I've got to learn about. I guess i shld just follow my keeping fresh water experience. From just fish to planted tanks and later to arowana + planted tank right? Those advice that you've given really do gives me a better view as to what i'm getting myself into... Bro...great advice you have there! I think i'll follow what youve advice. Start with a tank of live rock and fishes. However I not planning to have too much fish also. Maybe about 7 of them only. I guess for the time being... skimmer is the 1st priority. Can you advise a few skimmer that is suitable for my setup? Thanks!

hi all.... im taking the first step to my marine hobby!!!! i got a tank sump and stand from a friendly and nice guy here... its 8mm 2x2x2 tank .... and sump 6mm i was a little worry about only 8mm thickness...(maybe abit ks) just want to get a view from u all.... is 8mm for my tank enough?
