  1. Time to join in the fun and "upsize" the ice cream. $10.38
  2. Mai gan jiong la bro. Let nature take its course. I cycle my tank close to 2 months lol. Btw API not a really good test kit IMO, used to have them but now totally abandon them and use salifert.
  3. I felt its a little expensive too considering all the equipment are china products.
  4. I used dead rock that i soak in bleach as well due to bad experience of aiptasia invasion on my previous tank. So my tank is completely free of bristle worm, aiptasia, crab and such. For myself i think that's the best thing i want in my tank as in full control of what to add in without any surprise. Now after about 1 year plus, all my white dead rock are fully covered with coralline algae seeded by a single piece of live rock given by one of the bro.
  5. 1) keep a calender and write down every key thing that requires attention and replacement eg added 100g of AC on 13/08/14, wash wave maker on ddmmyy, etc. 2) keep all the manual of the equipment and re read them from time to time 3) buy a small digital scale to measure AC, Bio-sphere, etc 4) buy stock when your existing bottle is half left 5) always have a pail of aged replacement sea water ready 6) test your water at least once a week even if everything appears fine 7) know which LFS can be trusted and which is snake oil seller 8) label all your electrical plugs 9) next person please add... 10) Do not pour lfs water into your reef tank cos it might contain copper for fish treatment or salinity might be very low. 11) wash your hand and arm before you put them into your fish tank (even for one second). 12) Always check and empty your skimmer cup to prevent overflowing.
  6. If you are very sure its your skimmer, maybe can put a piece of sponge at the outlet at a angle to direct the bubble away? Else to prove if its your skimmer, try off it and observe if there's still bubble present in DT.
  7. You will start to understand when you have those 2.5feet back breaking tank height. =)
  8. It's normal that tangs drop to a lighter shades when the lights is off and also when stressed. As for the wound, i supposed is your tang fighting with each other with their scalpel and hence you see wound.
  9. Patience is the key, else it might be a faulty test kit that you are having.
  10. Bro actually during cycling stage you can off your light to deter those nuisance algae. Power on when you have corals after cycling completes.
  11. Love this idea. Count me in if its for real. Always a great idea to meet up with other reefer whom share the common interest.
  12. Why not post a picture to let us have a better understanding on what types of algae you are encountering so as to pin point to the issue.
  13. Wah bro your tank from bungalow scape to hdb scape now already but look much neater now with all those space for fish to swim.
  14. The NLS pellet i have also floating hence to make it sink immediately i often "throw" hard into my tank.

You need hole to set the water level. It could be make easy by heating up a Philip screw driver and push through the bucket. No other tools required. Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
