Yup you better do test on your parameter before adding coral or fish. For example your current tank have high no3 or po4 but your current occupant still swimming happily is because they are somehow seasoned to the condition already. Light set will be very dependent on what you intend to keep (fowlr, sps, lps, softies)? With a $200 budget it will be very tight for a good light set. Personally i'm using LED for the electric savings, less heat and life span but T5 seems to be the more proven lightning for many reefer out here. Initial investment for LED is definitely higher than T5 but for myself i'm looking at long term cost effectiveness hence i choosen LED over T5 as i do not require to replace tubes frequently. Previously while using T5, i skive on the changing of tubes which result in change of light spectrum and my whole tank become algae paradise. You may wished to study more in terms of lightning before you commit. My advise to you is buy the best you can afford. Patience is the key to success, never rush onto anything as usually you will look back and regret. Feel free to post any question in mind, we have lots of great bros and guru out here to advise you.

Bro with your tank size you can have many selection. Blue tang will be a good bet if you don't have other bigger species of fish inside. You might also consider yellow tang as this is one of the tangs that stay smaller.

Wow seriously 6 nemo together? You might start to see aggression when they slowly grow up unless you got huge tank for them to have their own territory. Anyway how big is your tank? Knowing your tank size could help with suggesting fishes.

Your sump look very decent already. As for being sufficient for 422 is very subjective dependent on what you intend to keep. But there's always water change to help keep parameter in place.

In fact i dump a few of them directly into my skimmer for faster result. But you may hang it with a bag inside your skimmer if you are afraid it might affect or clog the skimmer air bubbles output.

After using biosphere I really observe that my skim mate are thicker and darker. I would recommend as it works for me.

Yup for no apparent reason it just raise till so scary. Finally back in place.

After struggling for so long battling high nitrate, finally done a test with help from my buddy and the results seems so much better now. Only thing to work on before getting coral is my po4 as i have totally switch off my GFO to let it raise in order to counter my extremely high nitrate problem. With my GFO now fire up fully, guess i shall be ready to stock up coral in 1 week or so.

You may consider replacing the ceramic rings with skimmer for that compartment and on the first compartment add in filter socks. Below the filter socks you could also look into adding baterial king if you want additional surface for bateria to multiply.
