Female usually kill female & some time fighting between both male can killed too depends on luck ... getting a pair not necessary must pair up too but higher chances not killing each other ...

For kH is YES , but for Ca is NO ... from my kalk dosing experience, when the 1st time kalk powder mix with water will release very high kH ie: if using Kent Marine kalk u can get more than 60dkH at the 1st day and it will drop if u mix water again the next day so if u mix the same powder with water daily until 7th day only will get 5~7dkH etc etc ... for brightwell kalk, very low about 16~20dkH at the 1st day mix ... but all kalk Ca are low below 500ppm so its good to maintain Ca level and not to raise your tank Ca level ...

mine original is branching type but new head just grow beside mother head never grow into branching type maybe take longer time i think ...

mine about 3~4 months not remember correctly but every head have grow 2~4 baby heads and the baby is about same size with mother head now they grow very fast without feeding and my nutrient is ultra high so nitrate is not an issue for duncan but most importantly are lighting i think ...

me never feed my duncan and grow many many heads now so feeding is not a must for duncan ...

6'x4.5'x2.5' mostly sps frag, pH controller at 6.2~6.4, aluminium 5L tank 3~4 months / metal 5L tank 5~6 months ... metal can go for higher pressure more storage compare to aluminium tank with the same refill method and charges too ...

me not set the lunar, weather etc ... just set the 1st auto mode at 100% for all led for 12hrs daily and ramp time is 1.5hrs so mean full 100% blast for 9hrs daily ... me no set night mode so after light off the tank totally darkness ... tats all ... p/s: my led at 9" above water level and my tank is 30" high ...

bartlett will not schooling after few months in the tank ... the oni schooling is dispar and purple queen in my experience even after a year ... me never success with tiger queen, evansi, sunset & flame anthias for more than 3 months but they should be schooling type too ... schooling anthias is nicer than those individual tat will become very aggressive later ...

very nice dispar as me like dispar the most becos they are the only anthias tat schooling all the time even keep for more than a year ...

prata, acan, cynarina, lobo, blasto ,trachy etc most of the brain coral oso have RED color very common ...

me never keep b4 just saw it feeding at LFS ... look like they see nothing during full lighting cause they always knock at coral or LR when swimming but after light become dimmer with blue light only b4 light off, their eye started showing the white color and during tat time just feed newly hatch brine shrimp they will eat crazily and after few days they will feed on frozen brine ... they really need dim lighting to survive ...

feel tat this fish can not see anything under bright lighting so the best keep at very very dim lighting tank ... when u feed with newly hatch live brine shrimp their mouth automatic will feed on it even they see nothing under bright light they can sense the food ...

need to feed newly hatched live brine shrimp twice per day until they start to feed on frozen brine ... can try otohime or TDO too just depends on luck ...

haha paiseh me not expert on taking photo most of the time using full auto mode and ISO at lowest 100 ...
