Not too sure of their names, all abt 4 to 6cm long, with me about 4 months now, these 3 hav b'com tooooo greedy n will eat as much as possible, not letting the others a chance, they eat pellets, flakes, mysis, brine shrimps etc, the "moon wrasse" even eats algae now. Dont mind swopping for additives , fish food etc...

I stay at kembangan, how much in terms of volume is a 1/4 that u mentioned? Thanks

Tks bro Dandelion, well no jelly like substance appears just complete "botak" I can see the white coral, I wonder if My 2 common red banded shrimps are the culprit, have had them for 6 months now, molted a dozen times active only at nite, do they eat hammers? ...

I placed them at a medium flow area as I could see the heads waving, the wrasses are 2 moon wrasse, green wrasse and one black n grey striped fellow ( dunno the name) as for lites I have the 3 tubes, total 120W Fl tubes on. I used to have 2 to 3 camel shrimps a few months ago, but havent seen them for a month now...

I bought 2 hammers, one green tip the other brown tip, within a week 50% botak already. My water parameters are, 29C, nitrates below 10ppm, PH at 8.5, ammonia undetectable, tank has a couple of wrasses, scopias tang, clowns, mandarins, goby, fox faces. My white bubble with me for 6 months is ok. My brown gonipora 2 weeks old ok so far only thing extend half length only as compared to the shop when I bought, for lighting I use blue n white arcadia 40 Fl tubes ( 3 of them)....

U mean for the macro must use the original Rio pump is it? Cannot substitute with other brand pumps?

I am thinking of getting an used 250 or 350asf, model. When I look at the specs both are of same size and uses the same pump at 2000 l/hr. So what is the difference when they r rated for different tank capacity. Thanks

I dunno if this is the correct thread...but would very much like 2 hear from those using this method, I believe it does away the sump, but just LRs, sand bed and skimmer. Thinking of going this way..so would like 2 know exactly how to set up this system, like sandbed thickness, and amount of fishes I can put in a 5ft tank. Thanks

I do agree with bros Law n Mismarine, looks like both ways also lose , haha, tried using ice blocks ( 12in by 4in by 3in) melts within 5 mins, did not seem to lower the temp. though. Is there any website that did a test on pump temperatures I wonder....Thanks for all the feedback though...

Hi , I am using a Dymax 3000 lit/hr immersed in my sump, no chiller for my fowlr n some inverts, some soft coral only, n water temp is 29C. Will it make any temp difference if I place my pump out of the water. For that matter which pump is known to run cool? Eheim, Sicce, Atman ? Thanks
