Anyone can advice where to purchase this? It's meant to treat ich and mild on fish as compared to seachem cupramine base on reef central.

There's no light sensor for wp10.

Just received mine from fishstreet and fired up yesterday. Small footprint yet strong for my 2ft. Magnet based model.

Further reducing Nitrate in heavy load FOLWR/FO system
ATcraz replied to hydrox78's topic in FOWLR (Fish-only with Live-rock)
I am running both biopellets and ATS(made using Ikea box). That served me well to handle my bio load. -
Created ver2 of the ATS(using the largest sized ikea black box) 5 sided screens this time to maximize the surface area.

My personal experience. QT my AT, PBT, Naso for a month. During this period, I fed them frequently with a variety of pellet food. Of cos do ensure QT cleanliness. I introduced them to DT. Ich developed on AT,PBT. 4 mths into DT and mild ich comes and go.(All tangs eating and swimming strong). Husbandry includes 1) every 4 days filter sock change, using lower micron(20-50) socks over filter sock to sieve out ich parasite. 2) Weekly water change to siphon out ich parasite at dead spot in DT.

Yes we have talked about quarantine. What about lfs with malnutrition fish? Quarantine + ensuring that the fish stays healthy in lfs is also equally impt. Just find it disappointing to see sunken stomach/sick fish in the tanks waiting to perish/sold.

Orca Nitra Guard Bio Cube - A New Way of Carbon Dosing?
ATcraz replied to Gouldian's topic in Product Reviews
4th May (7days later) still at 5-10ppm range. Added about 150ml of nitra guard. Observation 4th May:Nitra guard added on 27th Apr turning even darker. -
Try drilling using 1mm diameter drill bit, with holes 1.5cm -2cm apart. Start off with smaller drill bit and increase the hole size according to how strong is the sprinkle . It should be jetting out. You will notice it gets clogged at times(minimum) use the end of the smallest cable tie (bend at its tip) as a tooth pick to clear the blockages.

Orca Nitra Guard Bio Cube - A New Way of Carbon Dosing?
ATcraz replied to Gouldian's topic in Product Reviews
Started on 24/4. Progressively added till 27/4. Approx 400ml in 560litres tank water(includes sump). Cubes started to brown out. Those in white are recently added.it is at a compartment before return to main. Streams of water are flowing through it. Nitrate btw 5ppm - 10ppm per salifert test kit on 27/4. Due to Feeding regime(10 cubes frozen+4 times pellet) weeks back, nitrate went from 0-1ppm to 5-10ppm. Hope to observe a return to 0-1ppm range with bio-cubes. Running ATS&skimmer&cheato&red bamboo&rowa. -

Keen to know as well if other LFS carries them. -
Just bought mine today from Madpetz. Happy owner and light sensor working well.
-
Anyone knows which LFS brings them in? http://www.nutramar.com/ova.html Nutramar Ova is made from 100% natural frozen prawn eggs. These eggs are highly nutritious and an ideal size (1/16 diameter) for feeding small to medium-sized fishes, corals, and other invertebrates. Nutramar Ova elicits almost immediate feeding responses from many soft and stony corals and finicky fishes. This food is ideal for Mandarins and other dragonets, seahorses and pipefishes, small gobies and blennies, anthias, and many more. Nutramar Ova is highly concentrated with protein and HUFAs. This product is very useful for those who are rearing nearly any species of fish through the larval and post-larval stages.

Used water hose connected to a fine nozzle spray(high pressure) to clean filter socks. Works very well and cut short my cleaning time significantly.

Share:Skeptical Reefkeeping VII: A look at Ethics
ATcraz replied to ATcraz's topic in General Reefkeeping_
... Owning a pet of any kind seems to incur an ethical responsibility because that animal is completely dependent on its owner for everything it needs. The pet owner has chosen to take on this responsibility and therefore should do right by the animal. ... -
