  1. haha, you revealed it already ....
  2. i can imagine ... i had a 5g (decommed recently) which i already thought was small ... scaping is really a challenge, but you can still do wonders softies ?
  3. nice emperors ... what's the tank size now bro ?
  4. and be ready to be in awe and shock with cedric's exotics ... can stare and drool all day long
  5. waah ... want to cry ... lemme finish my tank move, then have some coffee again in your place while i drool over what to get !
  6. Thanks for the input bro. I guess not much option now since I already have the tank Thanks bro. Yeah that's a nice tank. Early this year i actually tried going into planted, but I guess in the end I still prefered reefing. I also checked and found some reefers using this tank as well as ada 6mm tanks, so I guess i'll give it a try. Plan to migrate my old tank into this next week. Will just start a new thread by then. Cheers !
  7. thanks for the inputs bro ... sniff sniff ...
  8. Hi bros ! Haven been out for quite sometime, but my tank is still very much alive Anyway, I have a CADE Optic-White, 24 x 15 x 15, and thickness is 6mm. I've checked the online calculators and turns out this thickness is still 'safe'. Just want to get inputs from your experiences. The tank is new, and I'm planning to migrate my almost 1.5 cube into this very soon. Thanks. Cheers !
  9. Best is to have the coral stuck to a chip or frag rock, then epoxy that to a big rock. If need to remove, shud be easy to detach the 2 pcs agn
  10. but not used in surgeries hehe. for support use staples
  11. haha here we go again with this discussion ...
  12. outside .... it has to dry first before you put the stuck pieces back in the tank.
  13. not sure about LFS availability, but your plans seems too much for a 1 footer, even for gobies. and yeah, clown are quite territorial. maybe at most 2 should suffice, 3 is already stretching it. just my 2 cents. good luck !
  14. well said bro. i agree on this. that's why when an imbalance happens (whether too much predators or too less down the food chain), catastrophe strikes. and man also plays a big role on possibly causing such imbalance.
  15. haha this one really cracked me up.
  16. the ixus line is indeed solid. i also bought a IXUS 120, and was able to take this shot.
  17. nice scape bro. might just be a challenge to plug in frags due to less flat surfaces, but can sure turn this into a wonder after adding corals i like the 'bridge' on top center.
  18. sounds to me that your tank may be like a time bomb waiting to explode ... mushies are very hardy, relying on trace lements and lighting. while you see them opening up big now and spreading, can be very fast that you see them shrink and melt. have you checked your parameters already ? more so, you are adding 'tap' water, you will do better with distilled at least. peace already posted the link on tank cycling, so it's best to read through. also, first thing's first, check your params. just my 2 cents. cheers !
  19. hope this helps ... http://www.zoaid.com/articles003.php
  20. cute ... hey bro, aren't these pipefish like dragonets, only eat copepods ? where'd you get em, hopefully eating frozen already
  21. did you notice any agression between your clowns or any other fishes previously ? coz one of my clowns had a similar fate, this time one of the pectoral fins, almost chopped off, but caught in the act, was bitten by the other clown.
  22. bro, since you bit the bullet (hehe), just be ready for the clogging depending on what you're feeding. as mentioned earlier i had to increase the tip hole size so mysis and brine or diy food can go through without clogging. oh yeah, and sand too as you were intending
