  1. yeah, this is what i use, also easy to cut up and make frag racks hanging on tank, cages, whatever. the white ones are quite brittle when being cut, so i got more breakages. but the white ones are heavy, so can sink, which as good when i caged off my supers before on the bottom. these black ones tend to be blown off by the current ... forgot how much, got ém from aquastar before, yishun
  2. just imagine how long it takes to farm these ... 2-4 years in hatchery to grow 3-4 inches, spend another 1-2 years in cages to protect them from predators, then another 3-10 years for them to become large enough to be 'safe' in the reef ... safe from natural predators, not human though ... brood clams where eggs/sperm are collected weigh up to 200-300 lbs !
  3. ya still rmmbr ... only for the indian chief !
  4. you gotta update your thread ... what other changes ?
  5. that mandarin's gotta be eating pellets ... otherwise nice pico though ... expensive ?
  6. hey jacky .... long time ! what you up to ... on the nick on sleeve ... we can do that for you ... so it will be long sleeves
  7. nice bro ... nicer though if picture is upright
  8. good to know. was really just stressed with the new environment ... later on, for sure ur clown will find something to host, and they will host almost anything
  9. it's your tank bro ... you should decide what to do with it ... however it is, there should be great focus and concern on the tank's inhabitants.
  10. bro, as the others said already : pls remove the airstone. this is for FW. not sure if the constant bubbles can cause stress to your nemos. also, do you have any filtration ? other than cleaning your system, will give water movement and on the surface give enough oxygen exchange. if not, you shud at least be doing regular water changes and have a wavemaker. for your rocks, maybe try to fix them up also for the fishes to have a place to hide. lastly, reduce your # of fishes ... otherwise, go to a bigger tank. but note for bigger tank, above advises still stands, and better to have filter (and eventually skimmer) IMO. cheers !
  11. will be good if it's only staying in a smaller rock, then can easily take it out. last week i saw one crawling out of my super suns and spraying out some sort of mily substance(?), quite a lot. so i took out that piece, let it sit a while out of the water, then 3 came out (a 3-in, 2-in, and one 0.5-in) ... for now, i "quarantined" them first, still wondering whether to dispose of them or not ...
  12. yeah, you're right ... or maybe can have also these type of trendy polo shirts : the number on the right sleeve can be a fixed number
  13. is it alone ? i think try not to change anything yet and observe, it may still be stressed let em settle in well first and get comfy
  14. IMO it's normal. my GBTA became too big for my tank, so had to sell it off. it was hosted by my clowns for quite long already. since then, they started to host also the same area - overflow. though they would still normally swim out (maybe bcoz they're quite well oriented with the tank and it's inhabitants already), until lately, it started to host my duncans. did you place the clown directly after getting it ? if yes, then i think that's what to expect. as long as it's feeding still and look healthy. you should start to see it venture out soon. just check time to time cheers !
  15. need help, any ideas how to manage my bubble coral now ? since it has detached from it's skeleton, i had to quarantine it, and so far it's been ~ month, and it's seems growing and healthy, feeding. but time to time tumble arounds, so in this state, i couldn't put it back i tried previously to stick it to a rock with glue gel, but doesn't work - any ideas ? or will it grow it's skeleton back ? thanks.
  16. bubble corals are pretty hardy IMO. in saying so, beginners in the sense that your water parameters are still what they should be and always put them in lower flow areas.
  17. uppz for you bro ... frags are healthy and blooming !
  18. nice ..... is it just me imagining too much ...
  19. gsp can sting too (?) ... spread and reached green finger, causing polyps to close up, so had to relocate.
