  1. And yeah, regular feeding. I have supers, so far they're ok and growing with only 2 feedings per week
  2. That's ok bro, good then. As long as they're healthy and you see them open up even during lights on, then should be fine then. I think what it is more about the light, that they may instead open up only when lights are off. But if they respond ok, cool Cheers !
  3. Nice ... I see ur suns are quite high up, as I know they are cave dwellers, or hanging upside down, they may not like too much light ... Just my 2c
  4. this is too gripping !!! i also thought ms bell was already caught ! when will you be coming out with a book on this ? ... movie rights ?
  5. yeah, terry's frags are good and stable. also opened up within 10 mins
  6. i think this should be ok bro ... so long as i guess you've already planned what to do and which rocks to go where ... spend less time (your hands) in the tank, and specially if you would be using epox, then really have to do step by step and not contaminate the water as much. good luck
  7. Thanks bro. Planning a pico as well ...
  8. looking at your scape is like reef snorkelling ... nice bro
  9. Collected by nice reefer. Thanks for the other offers. Thread closed.
  10. Currently reserved for collection.
  11. hi all, i'm offering this for adoption, or for the kind souls out there, maybe a token frag of even simple zoas. has been with me for just over a month, stable and eats like a pig. my problem is one time i was feeding, one pellet fell on the supersun, and it nipped it. since then, it's always trying to nip my super, bothering it until they decide to close up for a few days. even when closed, it still nips it. i covered the super with netting, and it would still and poke his mouth in and try to nip. i was able to quarantine the angel yesterday, and now my supersun started to bloom again. it doesn't bother my other corals, and is not aggressive to my other LS. collection in bishan. just PM me for those interested. cheers !
  12. sigh, when i saw this pic, i thought THAT'S A BIG TANK .... confused it is interesting ... but does that curbed area have direct access to the drain or channeled somewhere ?
  13. and that tank provides so much space for LS as well well planned and very neat tank ... umm, very nice house as well
  14. Hmm, thanks for the inputs bro ... so you mean to say "if" suddenly customs decides to spot check you, they will see this thru xray right ? and also if they decide to open the bag, and see it there, since as you mentioned fishes are allowed, then they won't qeustion you ?
  15. whoa ... just like a jock with his wingman ...
  16. yeah the back is clever, quite a lot of dd epox, that should hold now let's test your patience in stocking up ... but seriously, take it easy hehe
  17. OHF may still not be enough to handle your tank size, though as bro jammer said there is some convenience. you'd probably be better off with a sump, and yes, i agree on skimmers will be quite a pain to do more frequent wc for your 422 without it ... cheers !
  18. honestly bro, i'm not sure ... just by chance. i got these from a fellow reefer who decommed quite some time ago. they ate frozen mysis and actually saw them do. but when i introduced them to my tank, they starting eating pods, and however i tried later on didn't mind frozen mysis. since my nano didn't have much pods (and that's the reason i got this mandarin pair as they ate frozen) i resorted to trying out live brine. good thing is they willingly did, so problem solved before they go starving. i also replenished my tank with tigger pods. from then on my mandarin's became fat. i since have a small plastic tub aerated which holds my live brine stock for up to 5 days. one thing about brine is specially at maturity, they actually lose their nutritional benefits. also, when i load up the brine and tiggers, my selfish clowns especially would consume most of it. the tiggers tens to 'swim up' and they chew them up like nuts. my mandarin's would move like a heat-seeking rocket on these live food, but VERY SLOW ... lasts up to 10 seconds, and by the time they're about to peck on it ... swoosh, intercepted by the clowns ! so i then started feeding pellets first so all others would get their tummies full before laoding up live feeds. at one time quite some pellets landed around the mandarin, and he just started pecking on them, to his liking that he ate a lot, later on to throw up ! then eat again ... since then he's been eating these pellets, spirulina, LPS food ... mysis, still no.
  19. thanks for the advise bros. yeah, not taking risks, currently covered with diffusers. cheers !
  20. nice ... scaping looks very natural !
