  7. Yup u hav to have a seperate tank or convert the current tank into a species tank.
  8. I dun think the mods will penalize us for sharing tank specs after all it does affect cuttlefish greatly if the parameters doesnt suit them. Ur params looks ok...with acclimatization u can keep cuttlefish
  9. Wats ur water parameters like bro hideaki???
  10. Wow u got a really good background in marine ay...me too..im hving difficulties wif sps. I feel i should learn from u hahahah u seem to know alot.
  11. As bro fuel stated the colder the longer they live. Best is 22 -25 degrees. In the wild they are known to live for 12 mths
  12. Bro hideaki i once chanced upon the same road as u....i joined the src in 09 wif the intention to keep cuttlefish but was put off after learning the cost and requirement....its only till last two years that i had the courage to start a tank in marine....i hv kept a few cuttles myself averaging of 8 to 9 months livespan. They are very interesting creatures and really fun to look at especially when the hunt. They will change colors and texture of their skin. Cool ay! Btw bro hideaki do u hv a marine tank already or u planning on one???
  13. Brine shrimps are also too small for juv or adult cuttlefish to consume
  14. Welly brine shrimps not really good for baby cuttlefish cos it lacks nutritional value....live mysis or pods are better....problem is cultivating or getting it from shops
  15. Hmm....i think u can see prev post and inputs for ref. Maybe u can share ur planned setup or display...then we can advice further at the same time bro/sis welly can learn too...if u dun mind
  16. Hi hideaki yup it is a must and yes possible to train on frozen but dried i doubt so
  17. Care to share how u cultivating or where u planning to buy the live crustaceans for feeding?
  18. Im thinking of setting up a species tank soon....most probably sharing the same sump as my current 3footer tank.
  19. Hey A. Quarium care to share ur setup or u making a tank thread soon....but i think no garm sharing on this thread right is cuttlefish keeping anyways
  20. It requires alot more attention as it is very sensitive to water parameters fluctuations. It requires regular feeding of live crustaceans( crabs r their fav.) They hv a high bioload hence the minimum 30gal tank. Mainly due to the constant feedings that they require and the occasional squirting of black ink. Im not trying to discourage you from keepong it. Just want to let u know wat is expected so as to not dissappoint u if and when u keep one and it doenst survives. Just sharing ya hope it helps. Thats y i recommend getting exposure with fishes and corals first...to get the hang of it. [emoji6]
  21. Welly my advice if ure hands are already wet with reef keeping, u can try cuttlrfishes....but on the other hand if u are just starting out marine wif cuttlefishes, its better to choose fishes or corals...jus my 2 cents
