  1. Yeah, confirmed that. All my fish eat pods. Anyway, I got 3 mandarins at the moment; 1 is getting skinnier; managed to catch it yesterday night. Put it on betta box; now trying very hard to get him starts feeding.
  2. I see. I saw one or two very tiny layered coraline algae starting to form on my rocks. Could be those type you are talking about. I dose Purple up every alternate day and calcium daily. Just for your info.
  3. I find Purple Up is quite good. Also, sometimes depend on the type of rock. Some rocks can have the coraline grow easily; while others very very slow. Just my experience.
  4. Great effort! Thanks! We can try to do this every quarter or something. Can just donate $5 or $10 each should be good.
  5. Hi seanewbie, what I heard from expert is; there is no such thing as too much skimming; more powerful skimming means that you can have more livestock and feed more. It is better to overkill than underkill .... haha
  6. Hahaha, you guys very funny; he is selling a fish; not a tank!
  7. You got it cheap man, I thought they sell live rocks at $16 per kg!
  8. Yes indeed .... liking it more and more each day!
  9. Hi, the expiry date is usually printed on the bottom of the package. I saw it on both my CaribSea and Nature's Ocean.
  10. I use both full packets for my 2 ft cube.
  11. Wow, I better check mine when I am home today!
  12. I guessed you guys can check with the Arctica service guy when you called in for the 2 free services.
  13. Hi, currently I am using both CaribSea Haiwaiian and Nature's Ocean live black sands. I pour in the Nature's Ocean one first as it is finer than the CaribSea. So far so good, alot of dirt you can't see as the sands is BLACK! CaribSea from IWarna; Nature's Ocean from AM.
  14. Hi James, I think it is by luck; Or you buy from other reefers who has already proven non-nipping angel; but then again; their behaviour may change in different tanks. By the way, my african flameback angel from another reefer does not disturb my corals; though she (I think is a she) chase any other fish now and then.
  15. yes, mine is 1/10 and it works this way too.
  16. oh I see. The skimmer is doing great; now I don't have to worry whether I will underskim ... hehehe ... can feed more often Thanks!
  17. yeah I know; may change my sump to a bigger one next time. And also change to EOS for my tank; hence increasing the total water volume. This morning seemed like not much to skim anymore. I think I can just on it at night
  18. Hahaha ... actually wanted to buy naoko fairy wrasse today; but seemed like sold out. Also thinking of getting another tiny clam; should be done by then. Full house now.
  19. Hi, got my new skimmer! Deltec SC2060. To help me with my overstocking and livestock buying syndrome! Just got it setup today; it is huge ... but luckily can fit just nice into my skimmer compartment. Not really sure whether it is running fine or not ... maybe bros here can advise. By the way, how should I adjust the shut off valve, it is the black thing on the right in the second photo? Thanks! Also, got a frag of this white coral; not sure the name ... Fishes wise ... currently quite a number of them ... hard to take each one..! Cheers!
  20. Wow, steady Jacky, how you know he got many nicks?
  21. Hi, skimmer is sold. Thanks for the response. Have a good weekend!
  22. I am using Eheim 3000. So I adjust it to about 2800 for my Arctica 1/10 chiller.
  23. Hi, I have replied to all pm. Please arrange time for viewing. Cheers!
