  1. Hi, yes, fan can cool down the tank too, but evaporation will be higher. You can always test out with fan(s) first.
  2. Nice design; I am thinking about the same design for my nano tank. Visiting CR soon! I always have the feeling that black silicon is stronger than white (is all in my head); not sure true or not. Anyway, will your chiller having heat problem in the cabinet? Chiller needs to draw in air and expel hot air, yes? Yeah, you may need to have auto top-up for peace of mind. Cheers!
  3. Nice white color cabinet tank! CR = CoralReef Aquarium (Tank Maker) I think his sump is inside the display tank itself at the end; Just to let water flow thru media and maybe a skimmer then pump out the water; like a nano sumpless tank. Cheers!

  9. Hi, read it somewhere that you need to feed the anemone with shrimp/squid/meaty food 2-3 times a week; for them to maintain the colors.
  10. Oops sorry, 2 feet cube? I think it is better for you to get a chiller for long term use. For example 1/10 Arctica chiller. I am using those elongated fan on my 1.2 x 1 ft tank; and the temp has been maintaining around 27-28 degree Celsius.
  11. A good fan can do the job as well. Just that evaporation will increase. Cheers!
  12. Note that you can ask for nsw delivery if your tank volume is too big for you to transport packets of nsw.
  13. Hi, Both nsw or saltmix can be used to kick start new tank. Personally for convenience and energy saving, I prefer to start off with nsw. Then after finish cycling, I change abt 30% of the water depending how big is your tank, with saltmix.. Hope that helps. Cheers!
  14. Hi tling, Coral Farm has purple tang as of last Sat. Not sure about the sohal; but I guessed, CF should have that too. Cheers!
  15. Also note that; evaporation will be high when you use fan; So, you can actually top up with fresh water if you do not change water daily. That is what I am doing; and I have no problem with my fish in QT. Usually I change water in my QT once in two or three days; but top up with fresh water daily. Cheers!
  16. Hi, I think you should fill up at least 50% of your QT water from your DT (matured water). The rest of the water can use saltmix. And use a fan over your QT. You can actually just change 10-20% of your QT water with saltmix daily. Cheers!
  17. Yo Jacky! Too crowded ..... time to recomm!! You need a 6 footer at least .... ! Cheers!
  18. Yo, Since you do not want to have sump; then it is better to go straight into 5 ft or more if you can afford; space and dollars wise. then about 1 ft or less can be used for filtration etc; internally. Then you have more choice of fish and the number of fish .... Cheers!
