  1. Yeah, let's start reefing!! Great hobby and satisfaction ..... not too kind to the wallet though
  2. I think not too worry too much about hinges rust. You can change it if it has rust too much.
  3. Thanks for the id ... cool little fella. Found another nice goby with the same species ... White Shrimp Goby
  4. In the cube tank; ok ... keep each other inform on the blotchy. Pmed you my mobile just in case
  5. hi, your rocks are nice; where did you get them from? Cheers!
  6. The one beside the main desk. Not easy to spot this guy, coz he usually perched behind rocks or in between rocks. Yeah, nowadays hard to come by; same as the blotch anthias; still looking for a small one. This flamehawk supposed to be from hawaii; was told.
  7. I don't really like my rockscape ... and there is no light yet ... so paiseh , no fts for the moment. need a couple of nice rock first.
  8. Haha! Persuaded Victor from Iwarna to sell to me. He was in their display tank Cute little fellow, perching here and there; seemed to love live brine shrimp.
  9. Hello .... finally removed all those coral chips .... tough work. I think I need 2 kg more of biohome+ Still got alot of space in the first compartment after putting in 1 kg. Anyway, here is the place where I put all the power plugs ... And tried to do some wire management .... still look messy ... Ok, added some livestock ... Green brain? From lemonlemon Note that my maxspect light 160w is not here yet; They are redoing it; hopefully by Wed, it will be ready; hence no fts yet. Also, don't really like my current rockscape, seems like need to buy a couple more of liverocks. Here is the flameDino .... relative of the flamehawk Mini flamehawk, my fav ... swee but shy fish. Really like a bird, like to perch. Sorry pic not that sharp. Cherry crab? also in... Randallgoby in ... this guy very very tiny and this is his hiding place; never seems to move out. One of my fav, not sure what goby is this; but came out immediately when I feed just now. Steady... I think I need to buy a book to identify species. Ok, my fts .... hahaha .... no sorry, just pic taken from aquarama last time. Cheers and good night!
  10. Queuing for some frags ...hehehe
  11. Yes, I read from the thermometer in my tank, then I calibrate my chiller. Er... I think I should get another thermometer and put one on each side of the tank.
  12. Not too sure, will time it tonight. Never thought about pump size.
  13. Hey Ketchup, sorry to miss your post. No expansion in mind, the longer cabinet is to fit the sump and chiller; also those plugs and wire.... now wire still in a mess. yeah, but I find the caribsea sand is huge .... prefer the smaller finer nature ocean .... well ... too late .... dumped in both already. I think my tank is already cycled as mention by the nsw provider; as I have my old live rocks in my tub with circulating water. Anyway, already added some livestock in; and they seemed happier than in the ikea tub!! Me also dose bacteria ..... Will add in more livestock soon, bought a few small fishes yesterday together with the biohome+. Cheers and enjoy reefing!
  14. Yeah, I think it is eheim 1000. Pump is in my last compartment, same as the return pump. 2 short pipes were used; maybe can see from the previous pic. I think it takes a a few minutes, er.. not quite sure how many minutes, maybe 3 mins to have the temp down to 27.5 degrees. Is that ok, good?
  15. Yeah you are right. The chiller pump is really a small small one. I don't think much heat is produced by this one. Will take more pics for my tank thread next few days.
  16. Hey, as replied to your email. My chiller get water from sump then back to the sump using eheim 1000 pump. Not sure this is the best though.
  17. Wow, sounds logical too! I just dosed 20 ml of API bacteria yesterday. It says, thereafter I should dose 5 ml per week. Hope this is alright, will test parameters again tonight. Thanks!
  18. ok thanks. I am thinking of putting 1 kg in the first compartment and 1 kg in the last compartment.
  19. will do that to mine too. But will there be such thing as too much biohomes+??
  20. yeah, at this point, have to experience it; coz putting in ls already... More going in soon. Bought a few of small fishes too. Nice meeting you again! Cheers!
  21. Wah really? In that case need to buy more kg of biohomes to to replace those chips. Guessed have to do that this weekend. Fts later yeah, still rescaping live rocks, the IOS d*mn big, not much space for rock scaping.
  22. Went to get biohome + today. I read that it is best to put at the last sump compartment where the water is being pump back to the tank. So I did not remove my coral chips. Any opinion on this? Also bought this bacteria dose. Gave the dose earlier; but see no change in Nitrate and Phosphate. Currently only test this 2 things. By the way, comycus is right; my all in one API test kit already expired end of last year! So threw it away already. Btw, already scape the liverocks; but somehow do not like it; so did not take the picture just yet. Will rescape later; AND also put in a couple of my livestocks ..... coz one of my clownfish does not looks that well in the tub. So .... in he went into the tank! See, there is a white patch on one of them. and he keeps floating sideway. Also, put in this Melanurus Wrasse; been with me for a few months already; very hardy and greedy wrasse. This tuxedo urchin looks like very happy in the new tank. Still got a couple of my old corals and a red fish in my tub. Thinking of transfering those as well .... but then again; better wait for a couple of days and see how those that I have put in fare. Also have to thanks lemonlemon for a couple of his corals. Cheers!
