No, not worried about flooding; previously, when water level is low at IOS side; (When I just filled up the tank) when I switched off my pump; back flow occurred from DT to IOS; this makes my DT water level down; And I do not want my DT water level to be down. This will not happen anymore; since I fill up more water. I do not have filter wool; so clogging will not happened.

I find that, when my water level is not high; when pump is running; it is fine; When I off the pump; much water from DT goes back to the IOS area; so my DT water level goes down abit. I hope to stop this from happening; by drilling a small hole on the outflow pipe. However, since now my water level is high; and my auto-top up is ready and running; this will not really happen. I have set up the Tunze auto-top up

A quick check, if anyone can help; To prevent back flow of water from the display side to the IOS when I switch off my pump; Is it I need to drill a small hole on the pipe? If so; the small hole can be anywhere below the water level? Just above the top out opening? Thanks.

Here is another side of my tank; 3 display sides. I scaped it in such a way that got lots of crevices and in-between rock spaces for fish to swim in and out and hide; Also can fit some corals on top and and the sides.

Yup, fritz from Madpetz. Dupla bacteria from AM.

I used 2 packets of carib live sands pink Bimini, and 2 packets of natures ocean direct, which I pour in first coz they are finer. Actually, not really into sand, but since my tank is mini.... Might as well go for the ocean beachie look

Can see the coil? Water filling up .... this was done a few days ago; I am doing speed up cycling....

Thanks yukok.lim08; The titanium coil; I changed to a smaller one; it used up half the area of one half of the IOS. The rest I fill up with mini rocks and will add in rowaphos + carbon there too.

Yeah, the tank maker make the tank and the tank cabinet and the cabinet beside the tank. All customized; easier for me to design and fit into my living area

Yo guys! New start for me, after a few years with a big tank; now decided to re-start with a small tank; Signs of age catching up fast Trying hard to keep it simple, easy, low noise and low cost ; and hopefully shiok enough to enjoy every night. Tank: Size about 3 x 2 x 2 ft, IOS, so display only about 2.2 x 2 x 2. I still do not like sump; find it messy and noisy Pump: Vortech M1 Chiller: Daikin compressor Rocks: From previous tank; I got excess of 30kg of rocks after decided what rocks to use in my current mini tank. Wavemaker: Still deciding whether I need one.

Further discount for those who can collect tonight. The shapes of the rocks are nice ones; just that can't tell from the pics; as I took the pic, top down. Cheers!
