  1. Hi bro.... I'm having a resun CL650 to cool my 3x2x2 tank including my sump tank. The temperature set at 27degC. It takes about 10mins to cool 1degC after it kicks in. But the curious is that the chiller kicks in every 1/2 hr. I'm using 2500l/h pump and the chilled water was pump back into my sump tank while using another return pump for the main tank. Is this normal? By the way, i tried to reduced my chiller pump flow rate yet still the same. One thing to add is that my return pump is 1800l/h, which i think this might be the cause because the flow rate is lower and not fast enough to circulate the water inside my sump back to the main tank. Anyone encountered this and what could be the cause? Thanks.
  2. Hi bro.... How old is your chiller? How many indicator available on the controller? Any picture?
  3. After going through the hassle, decided to get it repaired and so far i think this service company is the most reasonable price and also good service. Thanks.
  4. Hi bro.... Just a few cents comment from me. If you are using a pump that is much higher than the requirement, i would say that your chiller will take longer time. I'm currently using a exact pump requirement and the kicks in still consider alright because my chiller run less than 8mins to drop back to the temperature set. Of course hot weather will also cause the chiller to kicks in more often. Thanks.
  5. Hi bro.... Thanks for your comments.... Getting a exact one is a bit difficult cause I don't have the specs of the resun original thermister.... Now can only test on the actual value... Will go and get another one for testing it.... So far the chiller kicks in every 1hr for a duration of less than 10mins...
  6. I think need to clear some info here.... The display is showing 1/2 of the actual value. Ex. Display : 12degC Actual : 28degC Is because of the resistance, which i think i need to get a 5k at 25degC thermostat to get a closer reading for the display. Currently is using 10k at 25degC thermostat. So far the chiller kicks in and out seems to be normal. Thanks.
  7. Hi bro. I'm using just the thermostat itself connecting to the original controller. Thanks.
  8. Hi DIY gurus. I have a question on the Resun CL650 Chiller. Due to my present CL650 temperature sensor behave weird, I have decided to convert to external thermostat. I have change a 10K NTC temperature sensor bought from SLT. The display showing a value of 1/2 of the actual reading. I'm suspecting this big diff is due to the resistance of the thermostat. Please kindly advice if you have done similar modification for resun cl650. Thanks.

  11. Hi bro.... Sorry that can't collect from you today.... Let's arrange tomorrow instead. Thanks.
  12. Hi bro.... For the external thermostat, you can obtain it from SLS.... As for the connection, is quite straight forward.... Just unplug the connector and plug in the external.... Of course you need to get the connector to connect to the wire from the thermostat.... Hope this helps.
