  1. Hi bro... If the chiller is running, few things you can check: a. The wind blowing out from the rear should be warm. b. The bowl in front (when you remove the front cover) should be warm or slightly hot when is running. c. The fan should be creating some sound when it spinning. Just check out on this 1st .....
  2. Hi fishyboy bro... Can you explain more.... "Hot in front" ? 1. Are you referring to your compressor pump? 2. How long is the kick-in time and how often? 3. Is your fan moving? Thanks.
  3. Hi bro... PMed you already. Thanks.
  4. Hi bro.... No choice.... They come as FOC.... Just need to get rid of it....
  5. If that could be the reason, then i'm alright, just need to get my pail ready due to extra dilute liqiud collected in my skimmer instead of "kopi-O" concentrate. But why would this frequent water change affects my SPS? Shouldn't frequent water change helps the SPS instead?
  6. Hi bro.... Come to think of it..... Possible.... But hope is not.... Any other reefer facing this recently?
  7. I'm just doing more frequent NSW change.... Didn't happened in the past when i do bi-weekly NSW change.... No medication or etc....added....
  8. Hi bro..... Recently done quite a fair bit of frequent ( once every 2 days - 1 full blue jelly can (20l) ) due to ich infested on my fish. It didn't happened in the past, where the skimmer discharge more dilute after the water changed now whenever water changed.... Any idea what could be the reason? And at the same time, this phenomenon is destroying my SPS.... Anyone encountered this before? Thanks.

  13. Hi Steven. Thanks for the tips and offer.... In fact i'm actually stick back the plastic fan that spins when the magnet move. Due to the fan loose, is not spinning while the magnet is already spinning.....if you get what i mean..... Anyway I'll try to use the 2Ton epoxy..... Concern would be any chemical effects to the corals and LS...?
  14. The pump is Hydor..... I find it no point getting the replacement when the impeller is almost 1/2 the price of the new units.....
  15. Thanks... A bit hard for me to know cause I need to bond the magnet to the plastic impeller..... you have any recommendation?

  17. Hi guys.... Anyone who can recommend some type of epoxy or glue which i can use to glue back my impeller? Now that the magnet has came off, so no more spinning..... The glue need to able to witstand force and temperature..... Do let me know where to get as well... Thanks.
  18. Hi Steven. I'm using 1/2 hp from Hailea. It takes about 45mins to cool down from 28 to 27.. My pump is having flow rate of 4500l/h pump with the external temperature controller.... Is my flow rate to high for the chiller? Should i reduce the flow rate to my chiller?
  19. Hi bro... I doubt that the UV lights will have any impact to the silicon..... Anyway thanks for your advice.
  20. Hi bro.... My UV are those with the light bulb and not enclose.... Is also summersible type. Which why i place it inside my sump tank. The UV light is running on timer switch which only turn ON in the middle of the night(where everyone is asleep). My main concern are good bacteria, will they eliminated by the UV lights? Thanks.
  21. Hi bro.... I do noticed that many use the UV lights with the inlet and outlet for water to flow in & out..... I'm planning to place my UV light inside my sump tank ( summersible type ). My guessing is that this UV will also kill my bacteria inside my sump tank leaving in the bacteria home or biohome. Or should i cover one side with some reflectors to prevent the lights shine to my bacteria home compartment? Can anyone agree with my assumption above? Or anyone had use a summersible UV Light inside their sump tank which will also shine into the bacteria compartment? Thanks.
