Oh wow.. I have never seen an abalone and a scallop like that on sale before... Really amazed... Matt you're the luckiest aquarist in my book... Take good care of them, k... Anyone knows if abalone (non-canned ones) still on sale in PR or anywhere?

feeding methods with certain foods

Ah... How come must dry with toilet paper first? I just normally break a cube into a container and 'melt' it either with your tank water or some freshwater (obviously treated or RO water, not tap water). If you wanna add garlic solution, just pour a little into the 'melting' container and leave it for about fifteen minutes before you pour the food into your main tank. As for nori I'm not sure if you can add garliuc solution to it but I bet that there'd be no harm done if you do so.. -
I agree.. I think that using sand from our shores is way too dangerous for our livestock as our beaches don't excatly look very safe... They may contain many dangerous chemicals from the many ships that pass by our enclosed seas....

Ahhh... I wonder which part of the body you are talking about...

Wow.. Wonder how much they sell something like that..

Yeah Reborn sometimes brings in some really cool stuff but it's a pity that we can't check out every single shipment they have...

Things growing on my life rocks and sand

And.. Ermm.. Snails and other creatures most likely won't eat them... If your tank is new you should just wait and the brownish stuff should vanish in time... You could also scrape off some of the brownish stuff if it becomes too unsightly.. -
Hey man... Sorry for your clown fish.. these things happen.. I hope your other fish are doing alright.. if not then check your water parameters ok? My clown acted like that when water parameters were wrong in my tank..

Same thing happened to my cleaners... Was pretty puzzled when it happened, though.. I assumed that cleaners were peaceful shrimps regardless of size... Guess it wasn't all that true.. -
Yeah.. congrats.. Maybe you'll see baby coco worms all over the place soon..

Livestocks to avoid?

Basically just don't buy bany LS you haven't already read up on and researched about.. -
Yeah if it really is dust, you can use some chemicals sold in LFS that will clear up the water like Seachem Clarity which AT suggested.. For my case if my tank becomes really 'blur' after a water change or something, I'd just run a mechanical filter and wait a few days.. usually it will become pretty clear in 2 to 3 days.. You could try activated carbon too.. Maybe it ain't excatly particles.. could be chemical reasons causing the blur water.. Or check your flow rate.. Hope I helped..

I really can't begin to wonder how an LFS, after keeping so so many marine fishes for so long, can come up with the ridiculous theory that Maine fishes dun poop.. I mean.. That's like one of the craziest advice I have ever heard from an LFS..

If you're lucky only a part of the sponge will die but most likely, the whole sponge will die.. Could be due to mishandling by the LFS (air bubbles entering) or simply that your tank isn't matured enough or have enough food to support the sponge.. You could try squeezing the air out of your sponge if the sponge is soft like the purple sponge.. Otherwise you'd just have to leave it and pray... Sponges aren't the easiest life-form to maintain in a relativey new tank (except I think the hardy orange sponge) so good luck!!

As above, guys.. What do you hope for of your tank in the coming year? I hope.. 1) To finally be able to find a Royal Gamma for my tank.. 2) For more coralline algae growth.. 3) For my corals to comtinue growing and thriving.. 4) The same for my LS.. 5) Be able to afford more corals and clams for my tank.. Yup.. So far so good for me so Praise God.. And oh yah.. Happy Chinese New Year..

Reborn is selling them now..

When I had pods in my lion tank, I got a small mandarin fish to comtrol their populaiton.. then after awhile I trained my mandarin fish to accept frozen food and both my lion and mandarin have been thriving in my tank ever since... Thing is that a lion will not eat a mandarin due to the poison secretions in the mandarin's skin (I think).. So you could solve your pod problem like this since there won't be other fishes to snatch the pods away while you get you mandarin to feed on forzen food slowly..

3ft still can add some more fish.. But of course not all at one time..

Big photo no doubt but nice tank..

Hey if I'm not wrong even if you get another coral to try to host your clown the clown will stick to its first choice of the button one... Cause my clown last time chose my bubble coral as its host and even when I added more corals and an anemone (I didn't know better in the past) it chose to stick to the bubble.. So yup.. I think unless your button dies getting another coral might not solve your problem... But then again you never know lah..
