Just bought myself a Dymax T5 and noticed that the tubes are 30W (Blue Actinic and 12,000K white) Just read on the forums that it may be possible to 'upgrade' the existing setup to higher wattage tubes by modifying the ballast. Wondering if anyone knows how to do it and what is the cost involved. Finally how much do those HO tubes go for? Thanks.

how much temp can we control ? typical top up equiv ?

I know this sounds like quite cheap skate but wondering what is the cheapest chiller? my budget is ~ $200. is it possible? I just want it to cool a 2x1.5x1.5 tank. simple PL lights. temp can reach 30C during daytime so i just want something to keep it in check at ~ 26C. thanks.

no no no. what i mean is we need to treat the water by leaving it overnight to get rid of the chlroine. but what about the chloramine? i read that PUB uses chloramine and that we need to add in addictives to get rid of it. So question is, will getting rid of chloramine reduce algae growth ?

good cured LR smells like sea weed, fresh. uncured has some stuff rotting or dead lost thru transportation so has an ammonia smell but they can be cured over time so no worries too. for good example of LR can try ML. I bought mine from there. pretty good quality!

As above. Anyone with experience or actually seeing tail / fins of fishes (eg clown fish) growing back over time? I bought one with a little broken fin (should be bullied) because quite pitiful so I bought it home (Clarkii's clownfish just arrived @ Clementi 328 today). It is eating quite well, nibble at ML's home made food and eating frozen BS and doing ok. So wondering if it will grow back.

The A Series CANON cameras are good. If you want a bit more high end can get the S50 or G3/G5 models. I've got a Kodak DX3900 and Olympus C720 and now owns a S50. It's the best so far!

my tank only 3ft... too small for such a big tang to swim around. sigh! it's a really beautiful fish though. good luck in finding a nice new home for it!

hi how big is your orange shoulder tang ? what does it feed on usually ? I'm interested
