For Bidding : Tricolour Rics x3 polyps on a rock
clee123 replied to MbmC's topic in Sell off/Pasar Malam Shop
bro..nice try..congrat!! -
The Sump tank - the sump is 4ft x 2 x 1.5 in dimension. I had made some modifications to sump which partition it into 4 major compartments - Water Inlet from display tank section, the skimmer/FR section, Refugium/Frag section and finally the Return to display tank section.

Let's focus on the 6 footer for now... Had decided to make this as the central showcase in the basement living room.... so this is the 4-way 360 degree view: This main display tank and my son tank plus the other two Planted tanks form a "S" shape view...

He is the advisor on what fishes and corals to buy... daddy did all the dirty work... ha...ha..

Well, my son's tank setup was done...and he was happy.... but I was not quite happy about the aquascape... so much more work still need to be done ...
-
so...hee..hee... don play play...

It's not the water bill - as the water used is from NSW and I make sure the water from the 6 footer go 4.5 footer when I do the water change...so the water usage is controllable.. The main expenses will be from the electricity used to powered the 6 MH lights and 2 chillers.. But I think the most part of the damage is the impulsive and obsessions in buying new fishes and corals...every time or every week when where is shipments from LFSs.. I am sure some follow reefers here might spend more than me in the quest for their fishes and corals.. Anyway... I am exploring the "green" energy now with few of my friends who are in the energy business..

Hey...thank for the tips... I had experienced that with the 202 model... the 201 and 202 are the two flow head types... If you consider 1 flow head suck in the water and the other suck out ... it acutally create a stronger water flow..
-
opp.... forgot about the one last important part... the water flow... The water circulation is quite sufficient actually - supported by two return pumps (Eheim 1260) - one at the left side front corner and the other from the right side back corner - this provides a all cycle of the water movement to the whole tank... I added 2 x sunsun 201 wavemakers connected to a Ocean Pluse-Due (WM-01) wave controller which allows you to create three different types of flow (Laminar flow, Turbulent Flow and Surge Flow) - The controller is switched off by a timer every night when the two MH lights are off duty and when the blue moonlight is up... I think the 2 x sunsun wavemakers and the Occean Pluse-Due controller offer the most "value of money" alternative as compared to other branded wave makers in the market thus far.. Ok... this wavemaker thingy is not Pasar Malam items ... but believe or not .. the whole wave movement setup cost me less than S$100...

The last part on the equipment list for the 4 footer - Lighting I use 2 x 150W MH plus 2 x T5 Blus tubs.. The two MH light were actually transferred from the 6 footer when I brought as a package - as I was setting up my 6 footer as the SPS tank, I need something more solid...
-
Hey bro... I had already done with my setup.... 200kg LR plus actually another 100Kg .... too many leh...
-
Ok... to continue with the equipment list for the 4 footer : 1 x Hailea HLO-100 Ozonizer connected to the Skimmer.. I turn on the Ozionizer 2 times a week (each 300 hours) 1 x ORP/PH Controller and 1 x PH monitor (connected to the CR)
