You can just leave the polyp in your frag tray ontop of some live rock rubble and allow the polyp to passively attach down over the course of 2-4 weeks or you can use a small piece of citrus net bag to envelope over the polyp on a piece of live rock, such that the polyp is loosely (but firm enough that it can't escape it's position) sandwiched between the netting and the live rock you want it attached to. Use a couple of rubber bands to wrap the live rock chunk and netting such that the polyp is held firmly in place. You don't want the netting so tight that is cutting or squishing the polyp. Leave the netting in place for at least 2 weeks before cutting off the rubber bands. Don't peel off the citrus netting right away. Allow it to slowly loosen on it's own such that it frees itself from the polyp over the course of a day. When it looks like the netting is free and the polyp is still attached in place, you can remove the netting. Keep the polyp on its live rock inside the frag tray for a few more days to ensure that the attachment is complete. Alternatively, you can glue the polyps onto one piece of live rock. A piece of citrus netting loosely wrapped over the the rock and secured with rubber bands will ensure that the super glued polyps do not come off the larger rock and float away. When simply gluing these polyps onto one big rock, you can expect about 80% success rate for staying attached, first time around. The citrus netting can be removed from the rock after about a week, and the polyp should be securing attached. By the way, you should use Super Glue Gel not super glue.

$10 definately won't have. Cheapest rics I have ever seen selling at LFSes is ard $25. And that is only for the green rics. Other colour rics normally are between $35 to $50+.

My own shipment, I can keep the nicest ones for myself and sell the rest... No need to worry about how to split the rics among a few people if there are only a few nice ones... Not sure when the shipment will arrive. Has been delayed a couple of times already. Just hoping that it will arrive before CNY eve...

Ok lah...Won't forget you... This is only a trial shipment so didn't get that many... If nice, then in future, will order more... Other than rics, will have some carribean rhodactics also... Something that is seldom brought in by our LFSes.

Most rics are loose polyps. U need coral chips to let the rics attach to them and then stick them to the rocks. Otherwise they will float all over the tank. Maybe after CNY I will have some rics for sale... Thinking of going down later today...see if they have any nice corals left...

Not bad...all your rics are propogating... Mine still not yet... And if you dose amino acids in your tank, your rics will open up much larger...

You only got 1??? Thought you would have gotten more... You cannot put anything near acans...I have had brains and other corals eaten by acans after putting them too close to the acans. I think only mushrooms and zoas can be placed near acans...

Wow...your very first ric...Got from GO??? Very soon, you will have a nano tank ric club, led by the Ray, the ric siow... Rics don't normally propogate by sprouting new heads...They grow new mouths and later drop the mouths off and new rics are formed. If you want rics in future, let me know...

Pre CNY stock up at GO...

Feed your duncans with frozen mysis, brine shrimp or Henrys. It eats meaty stuff actually. But basically no need to feed it often. In fact, I seldom feed mine and it still opens up big other than the stupid 4 head Duncan that just opens 1 head for the last 2 months.

You got a 13 head Duncan??? How much is that??? Duncans need quite a bit of light and they are pretty funny corals. I have a four head Duncan that only has 1 head opening up at any 1 time...the other three will never open whenever 1 of the other heads open... Anyway, for Duncans, it may take some time for them to fully open and when they do, they can open up very huge...

Which are your new additions? I have never managed to successfully feed my rics...

Wow...rescaping... Create some space for Aussie Acans and Scolys... Aussie Scolys are also super nice... I used to have an indo acan that looked quite similar to one of your Aussie...

Yup, Aussie acans have fantastic colours but the really nice ones are in the region of 6 blue notes upwards depending on the number of mouths they have. How much did you get yours for? Do take note that you have to put your acans a couple of inches away from your other corals otherwise your other corals will get eaten up very quickly.

Clams are filter feeders and they feed on microalgae like phyto plankton. There is actually no necessity to target feed clams.
