Yup, same issue for me too. Not sure if the pods are alive or dead. Can't see them swimming or anything. Poured the whole container into my tank and nothing happened. Fish feeding response totally zilch. Could be that the pods are too small to interest my fishes. They are even smaller than baby brine shrimps. How much for the tigger pods if doing by bulk order?

It is usually available but most times they are prepacked and you have to look in the prepacked fish section.

You could get prodibio Bio Digest or Bio Clean and dose it in your tank. It is pretty effective in reducing nitrates and increases the amount of bacteria in your tank also. Other than this, you should run carbon and phosphate media in a FR in your tank also. I do not use bio home but I have some LR in my sump and my nitrates do not exceed 5ppm even though I feed pretty heavily. Previously before using Prodibio Bio Clean and Bio Digest, I was only able to maintain the nitrates between 25-50ppm with 50% water changes every month. Right now, I change abt 20% of my water monthly and my nitrates are still below 5ppm.

Nah...Rics won't morth their colours. Just that their colours may get more or less intense depending on the amount of light they are getting.

Rare corals which have never been sold in Singapore are a bit difficult for the LFS to bring in as they really have no idea whether they will be able to sell or whether they will be stuck with the coral for eternity... Secondly, the rare corals are usually very expensive and unless a reefer is willing to pay upfront for the coral, I do not think that the LFS would be willing to ship in 1 or 2 pieces just to test the market. End of the day, I think the only way to move forward will be that reefers start to ask their LFSes to bring in these rare corals and showcase these corals to the rest of the community here. But we will require reefers with deep pockets to kick start this process and in due time, when there is demand for these corals, our LFS may then bring these in on a more regular basis.

Hmmm...I thought the ric you got was green??? Orange ric looks nice. Anyway, if the ric doesn't open up much larger over time, you may want to shift it to either a more shady area or somewhere brighter. Anyway, never had much success with my previous clams reducing the nitrates in my tank.

I think the main problem in Singapore is that the number of reefers is not that large and the market for corals is not that big either. Thus, LFS will only bring in corals that they know can sell quickly or corals that they hope will be able to sell quickly. Most LFS I've spoken to are very hesitant about bringing in corals that are seldom sold in Singapore as they are worried about whether they will even be able to sell the corals. Likewise, you see every LFS bringing in Florida rics but nobody wants to bring in the Carribean rhodactics.
