  1. So u going to do a major water change again? Putting all your corals in the buckets again???
  2. There are so many shipments of rics these days. My frank opinion is no need to cheong all the shipments since there will be gems available in every shipment. Anyway, with so many rics flooding the market, it's only a matter of time before the demand for rics goes down and then you will be able to get the rics you want without cheonging for them. I think this month alone, already got more than 1K rics brought in by our LFSes.
  3. Rics and Yumas are basically easy to keep. Just that Rics require more light than Yumas.
  4. 3 vials is really a lot but I would still suggest testing your water parameters first and then decide on the next course of action.
  5. The thing is that when u removed away most of your sand previously, you actually stirred up a lot of the shit burried in your thick sand bed previously and unless you have already siphoned away all these, then there might be a chance that they might have affected your fishes and corals. Anyway, for a nano tank, when 2 fishes and a starfish dies, you will probably get a nitrate spike already. Did you check for ammonia/nitrite/nitrates in your tank? My worry is that since you replaced all your liverock with artificial rock, you might not have sufficient bacteria to breakdown the crap released from your dead fishes and starfish.
  6. Funny leh...U got dose bio clean right? But last time did you siphon away all the dirt on your sandbed? If you didn't, then that would most probably be the cause of all your current problems.
  7. Dunno leh...Afternoon session should be at Iwarna...Night session should be at RB...
  8. Wat happened this time??? I thought your tank was doing well after u changed to using the artificial rocks?
  9. How come u always say ur tank is crashing???
  10. From RB??? How many did you get this time round?
  11. Rics are easy to keep. Basically medium to high lights required, low flow. Temperature less than 29 degC. Can try to feed them mysis or brine shrimps but actually not required.
  12. I think for bulk orders should KIV for the time being. Just concentrate on sharing of frags, trading of frags etc.
  13. Indian Chief, waiting to see the new tag...
  14. Your 60% water change is 60% at one time or 60% over a period of time? Basically to reduce nitrates quickly you have to do a one time large water change not multiple small ones. Also if you are using NSW from LCK, do check the nitrates before changing the water. Some people who have used LCK's NSW previously mentioned that the nitrates in the NSW is around 25-50ppm.
  15. ooi..how come u use your blue LEDs only...how to see clearly???
  16. Hello...I'm not the TC KING lah... You are the TC King... Anyway, it's very troublesome to bring in corals by yourself. In Singapore, applying for the import permit and cites permit is not that difficult but the most troublesome part is DOA. For rics, DOA can range from 1% to 99% and basically most of the online suppliers will not take responsibility for DOA meaning if you get 50% DOA, you are screwed. Secondly, because they are online suppliers, you really do not know what quality of rics they will send to you. Sure, you can order based on type as seen on the ricordeausa website but if they send you all green rics, what can you do? Well, if anyone wants to try bringing in rics or other corals yourself, you are welcome to try but I would still prefer to get the corals from our LFSes.
