To get nice rics, u need to get there when the shipment is unpacked otherwise you will be left with the scraps... For that reason, for the next 2 months, I will not be getting any new rics...

Basically there are only 4 colours for rics. Green, Blue, Multicolour and Orange. Orange encompasses all colours not in the 3 other colours. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with calling a ric by its colour. Infact in us they do not call pink rics as pink. They call them as peach...

I believe artificial rocks are basically made of PVC so they can't exactly host bacteria. Anyway, I believe Indian Chief needs to try to get his bio home to host sufficient bacteria asap so as to stabalise his tank. Another option will be to use NP Bio pallets in the meantime as a form of carbon dosing which should help keep the nitrates and phosphates in check.

Agree with Wilson on this. Get some bright orange, pink and yellow rics and you will have a very nice ric rock already. There are some very luminous green and blue rics brought in by the LFSes in every shipment also.

You could try the Tunze 9002 skimmer.
