  4. Get this set to set up a tang only FOWLR tank lor... Sorry for OT.
  5. wow...how big are these tubs and how much are they??? Reef Max is the cheaper choice... What I can say is that my corals and fishes are doing well in either salt mix... Only problem I have now is that my Koran Angel is now nipping on my all my 3 brains and they are no longer opening.... Just hope my brains do not die before my new tank comes and is cycled...
  6. How are you going to stock 400L+ of water? 20 jerry cans??? Your bathroom will be full of jerry cans... 10kg of salt will make approx 250-300L of salt water... so you will need ard 30-40kg of salt... I have only used Reefmax and Tropic Marin Pro Reef. In terms of solubility, Reef Max is better. Price wise, Reef Max is much cheaper.
  7. Yes you can. Reading will remain at 0 unless something leaks ions into the DI water... But how much water are you going to store? 800L for your new tank???... And you are going to need a lot of salt...
  8. SG Meter = Specific Gravity Meter = Reflectometer. Yes, for cycling, you need to monitor Ammonia (NH3), Nitrite (NO2) and Nitrate (NO3). Phosphate does not occur in the cycling process, so you only need to monitor phosphates (PO4) after cycling. All other test kits, you can wait until after your cycling is completed to get.

    DIY:

I believe people have done that before but what they did was to get a mini bar with a freezer compartment and drilled two holes in the mini bar and then passed the water hose through the mini bar where the freezer compartment is.

I think your peltier element might be too small to cool your tank efficiently. I have seen people modifying the Dolphin 150W TEM cooler and they use two huge fans and two huge heat sinks and even then for a 2ft tank, they are only able to cool it down to ard 25-26degC.
