I presume that the ric you cut had 2 mouths? Most people will only cut a ric with two mouths to propogate it. If you cut a ric with only 1 mouth, it may not work.

I have done that a couple of times already. Anyway, I always say, if the price Shan quotes is not reasonable in your opinion, then dun buy the coral lor. But he did tell me that the prices of his corals will increase in future because as he said, there is no more crisis already.

Which brand of pallets are you feeding it? Worst case scenerio, get frozen mysis shrimp from any LFS. Price ranges from $1.50 - $2.00. Your yellow tang will definately eat this. As for pallets, try Ocean Nutrition.

Another 2 more T5HOs would be good. But are you intending to keep SPS also? Otherwise, I do think that with a 1.5' height tank, 2 T5s may be sufficient.

Have you tried feeding your yellow tang nori seaweed? If not, you can get some red bamboo from any LFS and it should eat it also.

I guess if you dose Bio Clean, it should be ok. But take note that Tangs are really poop machines. How small is a mini yellow tang? And will it stay small throughout its life???
