  1. Check the floor already too late, become salted fish liao...
  2. Still possible to get corals at lower than market prices but you must be able to buy in large quantities which nobody wants to these days... Actually one way to get lower prices is for our LFSes to combine their orders and then split the shipment when it comes in but then again which LFS would want to do this??? Aussie corals are expensive precisely because our LFSes do not order sufficiently large quantites from their Aussie suppliers and thus are unable to get good pricing. US LFSes are ordering USD 50K upwards weekly of corals from Australia while our LFSes are only ordering USD 10K monthly at most.
  3. I think shift to kopitiam better lah...becoming a TCSS thread liao...
  4. Glue them on the rock. US regulations forbid harvesting of rics with anything more than 1/4" of rock stubble on each ric.
  5. I think when economy improves, prices will actually go up as LFSes will know people can afford to pay more and then they will charge more to increase their profits.
  6. The other corals that I forsee will have high demand will be the carribean rhodactics and mushrooms. And other than Reborn I think no other LFSes are bringing these in. Rics pricing, I'm quite surprised that the price is still so high considering that everyone is bringing them in left, right and centre.
  7. Reborn will have an Aussie fish and soft coral shipment coming in this Friday midnight. Fairy wrasse will be available.
  8. No wonder I see u kapok all the live rocks being sold... U never get the huge LR from fragmaster???
  9. I believe previous pricing was per polyp. So I think should still be the same. Anyway, some reefers are going down to day so they should be able to provide updates on the pricing and quality available later.
  10. Ummmm...I think u are mistaken. Jireh Marine does NOT have NSW. What they have is prepared salt mix that is filtered using their own filter. Their salt mix is ok if you use it for a fowlr tank but not recommended if you are using it for a mixed or reef tank. For Iwarna NSW, parameters are as follows: Salinity: ~1.02 KH: ~10 Calcium: ~ 380ppm Magnesium: ~1,300ppm Nitrates: ~0 Phosphates: ~0.03 This is the average of what I have tested for Iwarna NSW over the last 3-4 batches that I got from them. Normally I get about 400L from them each time and store in 3 containers so I test the NSW each time before I use them to change my tank water.
  11. GO has a new shipment of rics today. Not going down to take a look???
  12. This is one of my existing ric rocks. I am wondering how much a ric rock like this can fetch in the market. Just a note though. I'm NOT selling this ric rock...
  13. Dip zoas in fresh water means tap water or distilled water. This is to get rid of hitchhikers hiding in the live rocks. zoa pox, you will need to get Furan 2 but C328 is out of stock last week. Not sure if new stock has arrived.
  14. This fish is is considered a deep water fish so it is more difficult to keep alive though it is not found at such deep depths like the klayi.
  15. GO rics shipment is in. Price is ard normal market pricing.
  16. Do note that tangs are poop machines. If you added all 6 tangs at once, you are really going to overload your skimmer and your nitrates are going to shoot up very quickly. Anyway, how large were the tangs you bought and put in your tank? And frankly the weipro 2012 skimmer is not really that good a skimmer. It probably can't skim out all the dissolved waste in your tank.
  17. 2 ft cube and u keep 8 tangs??? My guess is the tangs got stressed out and died.
  18. Fish where got resale value one? Unless some other people want it and have big pockets and you are the only one who has it then can sell high high. The brown is $500 or 1K note??? But now no more $500 notes liao...
  19. huh??? thought the white spots already gone??? came back after rescaping?
  20. End of the day, without any additional information, we won't know the cause of the deaths of your livestock in your tank.
