  1. How often the chiller kicks in depends on how fast the water in your aquarium heats up. Other than your MH and T5 lights, additional sources of heat will come from the environment as well as any submissible pumps or powerheads that you use.
  2. The total water volume in your tank & sump will be around 800-900L so the 1/3HP Artica chiller will be sufficient for your use.
  3. Nothing wrong with purchasing 2nd hand live rocks but the live rocks he is selling is definately insufficient for your 4 ft tank...

  8. The cooling capacity of the two chillers is totally different. Flow rate requirements for the two chillers are also different. Depending on your tank size, you may require either the 1HP chiller or the 1/3HP chiller.

  10. That's good... I think you will be able to find people selling 2nd hand Artica chillers in the marketplace... DIY lights? Using LED???

  16. If your friends have an auto feeder, then u can borrow from them for these 10 days you are away.
  17. Activated carbon - My personal belief is that all brands are the same. Activated carbon removes impurities, smell and makes the water very clear but you need to change them every month. Again that depends on how much activated carbon you put into your tank and how much water & impurities there are in your tank. However, I don't think that activated carbon removes phosphates and nitrates. Currently using activated carbon, Pura Complete and Pura Denitrate. Pura complete in my cannister filter & Pura Denitrate in my Skimz FR120. Henry from ML suggested this to me as he said that the Pura Denitrate will be most effective when used in a FR. But take note though, your flow rate must be really low otherwise everything will be blown out of your FR and into your tank/sump...
