  1. Post a pic of your tank with the LEDs on...
  2. Hey u got any idea which LFS might have Rhizos that are green or red in colour? U only got 1 Rhizo currently? How often do you currently feed your rhizos and suns? Just to add on, I fed the rhizos 1/2 a fish in the morning and 1 fish at night when I was doing my trial on the rhizos...the 2 smaller rhizos did not feed at night while the 3 larger ones only ate 1 fish each. Anyway, right now, I'm feeding the rhizos 1-2 times per week and they are open practically all the time... Surprisingly though, it seems that the rhizos are more hardy than my sun and super sun. 1 week+ without feeding and my sun and super sun are close to dying while my rhizos are still doing fine...
  3. My guess is AZ NO3 and frequent water changes... I'm also starting to use AZ NO3 now. Trying to see if I can reduce the nitrates in my tank...
  4. Well, if you have an ammonia or nitrite spike in your tank, most probably all your corals and livestock would be dead by now. The issue is how much carbon you are using and what is the size of your tank? Are you doing any filtering of your tank using wool filters?
  5. You should add up to about 1/2 the height of your FR.
  6. What they mean is 0.1 and above is too high and 0.4 and above is in the danger zone already.
  7. So you are using carbon now and you are getting yellowish water??? What brand is that with a clownfish on it? To be frank, I believe all activated carbon are about the same. Probably a more well known brand would be Rowa.
  8. He will suffer first....when he does his rockscape and mixing the salt mix...then he will enjoy going to LFS to stock up his tank....then he will suffer again when he seees how much he is spending on livestocks and corals... Chris...if u have any questions, just ask Jacky...
  9. Wooohoo... Post pics of your rockscape and tank after you have done it and topped up your tank... So u already made the 800L of salt mix???
  10. Wah...bro ur tank finally arrived... It's a 5x2x2.5? Thought you were getting a 5x2x2??? Are you putting phosphate remover or carbon in your skimz FR?
  11. They pollute the water way way way way less than Henry. Whenever I feed henry, I have to make sure I feed very small quantities each time and continue feeding only after what i put in has been eaten by my fishes. If I feed too much, then my MCE600 will overflow immediately and it continues to overflow with bubbles for the next 1 hr plus. If you feed your Rhizo daily, just take note that a small Rhizo like the two on the left in my pic will eat at most 1/2 of a fish per day. The 3 larger ones that I have will eat up to 1 1/2 fishes per day. This was based on my own testing when I wanted to find out just how much they would eat before they reject the fish. I find that when my Rhizos are full, they will bloat up when u place the fish at their mouth and blow the fish away... Damm...my suns and super suns are still not opening up yet...
  12. NTUC/Giant/Sheng Shiong should have. It's a type of white fish, small and long ard 2 inches long. Price at Giant was $1.39 for 100g when I bought it. People at RC actually feed their Rhizos with prawns, mussels, salmon etc. I think prawns and mussels are actually cheaper but quite troublesome since u need to deshell them... But I think NTUC sells deshelled prawns so maybe next time I will try prawns...
  13. Got a photo for your Rhizo?? How much u got it for and where?
  14. Nothing great about my tank. Will be transferring the Rhizos and Duncans to my 3ft tank which I will probably set up next month.
  15. You should get a Rhizo for your tank. It's very nice...
  16. Actually, for Super Suns or Suns, it doesn't matter how many heads they have. You just have to feed one head if all the heads are joined together and that will be sufficient. Typically for my suns and supersuns, I just use Henry's Reef Gourmet (HRG), mix with water, suck the mix into a 50ml syringe and then blast them over the sun and supersuns. The tentacles will extend and grab the food. As for Rhizos, they are easier to feed. I don't feed them with HRG. I buy the silver fish from supermarkets and then just place 1 fish into each Rhizo. 50g of the fish can last me a couple months already...and it doesn't pollute the water as much as HRG.
  17. Hmmm...I just read through the MP10 manual. Doesn't indicate that the pin spacer setting can be changed. http://ecotechmarine.com/wp-content/upload...mp10_manual.pdf
  18. This is the link to the manual for the MP20. Not sure if the MP10 is the same as the MP20. There are instructions to change the pin spacer setting in the manual. http://ecotechmarine.com/wp-content/themes..._manual_1.1.pdf
  19. Have you tried adjusting the pin spacer?
  20. Maybe the propeller is jammed? Anyway, it flashed just red or red/white, red/green, red/yellow, red/purple???
  21. Hehe...Let me poison you with my Rhizo Garden... You can also see my Duncans behind...
  22. You should get them but Duncans are from Aussie so only available if there are Aussie shipments. Price is between $10-$15 per head. Read from RC that you need to target feed them but I only dump 5 in 1 coral food in my tank and they are still doing quite well though no new heads have grown yet. I have 2 Duncans in my tank now, a 4 head and a 7 head...
  23. Well, previously for my super suns, I only feed them once a week with Henry's and basically what I do is just let the current from my wavemaker blow the food to them. Anyway, I normally feed my fishes with HRG also so my suns also get a bit of the food if they land on them...
