  1. That should be fine given the small tank size you have. U should keep to the simpler corals e.g. suns and mushies and maybe others like pumping xenia.
  2. so when will u be getting ur tank???
  3. Looking for Tunze 6025 or 6045 for my 3ft tank. PM me if you have any for sale.
  4. Hmmm....Next week we will see Jacky's tank filled to the brim with GEMS...GO GO GO...
  5. I'm not sure what the current you have in your tank right now but basically mushies do not need high currents. They actually prefer low to mid currents.
  6. Your 2nd pic is too dark...Editing in photoshop will probably make it much better.
  7. Lighting requirements depend on the depth of your tank and also the corals you are keeping. Mushies and zoas do not require high light intensity so your current lighting should be sufficient for them.
  8. I think the first shot is actually better. You can just crop out the rock using any image editing software.
  9. Looking for Hydor Koralia K3/K4 wavemakers. Anyone selling, pls PM me.
  10. Zeolite is a filter media that will remove ammonia/ammonium from the system. For a tank that is not properly cycled or has added livestock far too quickly, zeolite is one media that can be used to reduce the level of ammonia in the system. I do not think that carbon is used to remove ammonia from the system. Rather, it is used to remove toxic metals from the system.
  11. Yes, brittle star can be bought at our LFS.
  12. Get additional or more powerful fans.
  13. You can get this from AM: http://www.aquamarin.com.sg/productsDetail.asp?productid=603
  14. Putting this Rhizo up for bidding. Start bid at $60. Min Bid Increment: $1 Bidding closes at Saturday 2359H, SRC time.
  15. If using NSW might only be 2-3 weeks.
  16. Cycling hasn't started because there are little or no die offs from your live rocks. When cycling starts, your ammonia will spike and when it reduces to 0, your nitrites will spike and after your nitrites go to 0, then ur cycling is complete. I would suggest throwing in a prawn to start your cycling process as it would be better for you in the long run.
  17. I have one that opend close to 24hrs a day, another opens most of the time. The rest used to open most of the time but due to the past 1 week when my goby decided to dump sand into their mouths, they don't open much now. I can still see some sand in their mouths so will have to figure out some way to get them out.
  18. Well NPS Corals: 1) Archohelia rediviva 2) Balanophyllia 3) Tubastrea 4) Dendrophyllia 5) Dendronepthya 6) Rhizotrochus typus
  19. Ya, you're right...Using Henrys ur nitrates will confirm shoot up. My nitrates are now maintaining at ard 25. Now I'm feeding less henrys so it's still manageable. Last time when I fed more, my nitrates were always above 50... Now trying out AZ NO3 to see if it can really reduce the nitrates. Up till now, doesn't seem so leh... Still at 25 after using for 2 weeks. My new tank, I will probably keep more NPS corals. Looking at Suns, Super Suns and of course my Rhizos... Make a sun family garden on my sand bed... I'm also looking to keep acan and brain gardens also.
  20. You can try Henrys for your suns if you want. Previously when I used henrys to feed my suns, their tentacles open super long. Only issue is it fouls up the water real fast.
  21. My Rowa and carbon is running inside my MCE600 and cannister filter...
