i'm quite sure it's a virus cause both norton and avg anti-virus progs detected it as a trojan horse virus... i can't del it in windows, i can't del it in command prompt. meanwhile, i've used both ad-aware and spybot to cross scan my system. so with this bugger left out, i'm certain he's the root of my problem. nonetheless, thanks tineng for your suggestion.
