  1. lol neon goby? Anyone knows how to trap cleaner shrimps out? lol mine will never ever come close to my hand/betta box/net. Just asking in case one day they piss me off. lol I'm thinking of keeping Sun coral soon also, bet they will become a pita.
  2. I never acclimatize mine too. Like what TS has mentioned, sometimes, corals just seem to die within 1-2 weeks in our tanks after introduction. Could be a variety of reasons, therefore recommend drip to eliminate the possibility of coral dying because of sensitivity to abrupt water parameter fluctuation.
  3. Next time I will drip the more sensitive corals then... I believe that drip acclimatizing does help in a way. Thanks for sharing!
  4. lol the definition of affordability varies individually. For now, we can only enjoy the pics bro
  5. bro try 81896878. He might be busy or across the causeway, so sometimes don't reply/answer his phone. My experience with him has been good. Hassle free and tank was completed v. quickly, unlike some other bros here I know who have had their tanks delayed.
  6. btw ray, jacky disclaimer: I'm not ure boss are you mine??
  7. dun curse la bro... now i scared to go home see ikan goreng on the floor... heh only 1 firefish?
  8. heh photoshop la! i pushed the temperature abit warmer
  9. Lemon SL this weekend... how? Anyway the exquisite colours intensify when they flash :eyebrow: damn cool! I'm still waiting to see Lemon's flasher wrasse... always never see it flashing, dunno whether real anot... heh
  10. when the mod think he needs to build a net then I build lor... he got more in his tank to protect anyway. heh
  11. bro how low is your kh? Other parameters ok? How's your Ca holding up? Best is you read this article and self diagnose http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/nov2002/chem.htm Don't run your cheato 24/7! best is to run them on reverse photo period in your sump.
  12. I realise firefish are popular with kids especially. Everytime I'm at LFS and there's a kid, he/she will always be pestering their parents to get them. Jacky, LFS shopping when? :eyebrow: Are you doing a full cycling of your tank?
  13. I hope my cleaners never become so lazy! hmmm Actually I've never seen my cleaners swimming in the water column. They are always either in their cave, skirting ard the rockworks, or sandbed. So weird!
  14. hehe haven't built... no signs of aggression in my tank so far. Blotchy only chases my lyretails ard... Might not build it at all coz of light penetration issues.
  15. hmmm if you really like wrasses, just custom build a netting? I'm sure light penetration will not be affected coz ure tank really quite shallow Keep them in betta box longer so they get used to their new surroundings. Could be something in your room tt's spooking them. I've heard of ppl who keep their wrasse inside betta box for up to 2 months, so shouldn't be a problem. And give us more updates on your lighthouse tank bro!
  16. Do your cleaners eat pellets? I have been trying to feed 100% NLS pellets for the past month and I realise my cleaners used to scamper ard trying to eat them, but nowadays they don't even bother when the pellet is next to them. I only feed mysis/Henry's to my corals like maybe once a fortnight? Prefer to use cyclopeeze, reefroids and 5 in 1 where the cleaners have no chance of snatching food from my corals. My fishes are so used to pellets now that they don't really appear to take frozen as readily. lol
  17. eh? Exquisite not tt expensive bro. Was quite surprised that it turned out to be very affordable, compared to other wrasses out there. Hmmm maybe mine are still ok coz I don't have that many aggressive fishes in my tank. My newest addition, blotchy, also chased away when the exquisite started flashing last night. A v. good tip I learnt here on introducing wrasse is to keep them inside betta box first to get them feeding on pellets. Once you are comfortable, introduce them at night when lights are out to explore their new surroundings. Better chances of reduced aggression between fishes this way.
  18. bro frankly I cannot tell you 100% safe. The hawkfish family are known to eat small shrimp. For me, I'm more worried about my nassarious snails than my cleaner shrimps coz i believemy shrimps can fend for themselves.
  19. Sounds good! So this thing is effective in aiptasia control? Read some reviews online and most were good, but there were some disastrous ones...
  20. we don't see such nice specimens that often... I must say the colours on my african exquisite is already quite uncommon oops better put tm beside exquisite everytime we use it, otherwise mod will come hunt us down... haaa
  21. how big and how attached are you to your peppermint? quite frankly, anything under 1" and I'm quite sure this bugger will attack it.
  22. lol bro I figure you must be drooling to own most of Ching's fishes then
  23. Welcome to the club bro! add more poison!
