  1. If kiasu can check your parameters again on wed to see if it's really stabilised, then a 50% Wc would be good. Yupz, you should be able to add a clean up crew next week. so what's your stock list?
  2. wow! I wonder if we will be able to get this here. Its almost an ELOS look alike and the price is v. competitive, even if it's in USD! Can check out more here: http://www.cadlights.com/product_info.php?products_id=161
  3. Bro any pics of it in white light? amazing zoas you have!
  4. haha since he's not ard, take the chance to suan him la... both are nice his one a tad more aggressive. hmm... but henry's shipment this time v. good. All are feeding already. Those interested in getting should go down!
  5. Thanks bro. I'm also hoping mine's reef safe... hahaa just hope la... gf wanted to get it, so have to take the risk. hahaa upgrade la, then can get even nicer fish and corals than me!
  6. More pictures of this beauty exploring my tank. The colours are really amazing. Prob not as deep as it's companion, but I couldn't take tt one coz SOMEONE kiasu reserved it the moment it came in... (haha btw it's feeding already, waiting for you to collect. Fairly aggressive fella, was chasing my copperband ard the tank...)
  7. I believe they are relatively reef safe. They will wipe out any feather dusters, tube worms within the tank. Luckily I don't have these. And it's also currently already feeding on frozen. Chomped down on mysis immediately after adding it into the tank. Whether it nips my zoas and other corals, really have to cross my fingers. Hopefully it doesn't take to doing it. It has already taken to wiping out the only aiptasia I have in my tank. I don't see it anymore! Not sure if the copperband ate it, but I did see it swimming ard the area for some time earlier this afternoon
  8. Yup, I love tt rock. Too bad my tank's small, it actually looks better at other angles, but can't fit into my tank Anyway... I would like to introduce everyone to the newest star in my tank. My mom loves it, my gf adores it, and I think the other fishes are getting abit jealous of all the attn it's getting. a sneak preview...
  9. Why crushed coral bro? not scared of detritus?
  10. You will prob see abit more aggression when they start settling down. But would prob be more to new inhabitants than their current ones. Wrasses still might jump from time to time, can consider a netting. hmmm i spot a really cute yellow clown goby. Where did you get it from? Looks good sized. Is it feeding yet? You might have to watch out as they do nip SPS. Wouldn't suggest keeping it if you wanna keep SPS. (if it's already feeding and you wanna let it go, let me know, I want! )
  11. The tank looks great bro! Slow down on the stocking and let the tank stabilize yeah? Btw you have got some pretty aggressive fish in there. What are you looking at next?
  12. Bro gratz on your tank. I had to blink a few times... Looked like an Elos to me! When can open house to let us drool at 'her' in person? Dun worry, see no touch, promise! Lol is it possible to do a closeup of their silicon work? I assume you also ordered the same acrilyc lifts like Dachkie?
  13. As long as there is constant overflow you will be fine.
  14. U need much more stable temperatures. For both your corals and fishes. Clownfish still swimming doesn't mean it's doing well. I suggest you also read up more before continuing. Trying to create a mini ocean in our tanks require delicate balance. Can you imagine if our oceans rose by 8 degrees due to global warming? We are talking about 1-2 degree rise in the next few decades and tt will already wipe out most reefs. I can't imagine the amt of stress you are putting on your system now.
  15. It's more impt tt you keep temperatures stable. Typically should not exceed 2 degrees fluctuations. 22 is abit cold though... How are your corals responding?
  16. The water level when pumps are all off should be ard 1" below the wavebox. Start tuning making only minute changes at any time. After every tuning wait for 30s to see the effect. Not enough, tune again. You should be able to achieve at least 2" waves easily using this method only switch on your pumps after tuning is done
  17. 6mm is risky bro... I would go min. 8mm if not 10mm. Ios overflow just need to be ard 1" below your water level, and fix some teeth at the top will do the trick.
  18. Not true, but 20 is crazy... maybe you might want to buy another one just in case? I wouldn't worry too much for the time being.
  19. Jacky must be performing water change now... right? Hope to get some updates Didn't know you have so many gobies in tt tank... lol btw wanna collect your frags this weekend?
  20. Gratz on your first residents. Hmmm I'm not a fan of ceramic rings... If you have the space, add your biohome and gradually take out the ceramic rings spaced out in 1-2 months. This is impt. You don't want your system to lose all its bio filtration immediately. Tank will crash. Don't know how much biohome you have in your filter. If you deem it enough, you can concentrate on carbon/phos remover in the prism, or can add more biohome. I know I nag alot... but pico's a delicate balance. Good husbandry practices go a long way!
  21. Welcome Marco What can we expect to see? 6 ft sps dominated tank? Remember to update us on your planning process too!
  22. bro the day is finally here! I'm sure your setup will be perfect after so many months of deliberation, sketching, planning etc. Looking forward to it! So how does the hood work? I think the hood and cabinet + red colour is striking and turned out very nicely.
  23. lol I can just imagine him swatting the fishes if they go close enough to the surface. really cute I bet if he jumped in, the owner would have freaked out.
