  1. I'm sure everyone agrees LFS shopping beats DFS shopping :eyebrow: hahaaa okie i should stop it... Anyway seriously, LFS will have more selection, more gems, can pack better to tahan your journey home etc.
  2. yeah i agree, just test test and see how long it can last me I asked ard, actually if rust, but still in working condition, it's oki to still dip into tank to use. Won't be harmful to tank... am I right?
  3. Just to be sure... when you mention you placing in separate tank, you mean QT right? Realise I took for granted tt you QT it. If you use same water from the display tank, or is linked to your dt, then the parasite is still in the separate tank. Nice chatting with you onizuka! How's the zoas? Mine open up really nicely
  4. Why don't you visit some of our LFS sponsors? Another 'attraction' for you to bring your gf to :eyebrow:
  5. haha thought I could sneak it by you... My scaping is really lousy, seriously contemplating doing some rescaping. Anyway I have algae all over my glass along the sandbed. Super irritating, if I get my butt to cleaning, will take a fts Thanks bro! I love them. Really big and yummy Hope to add more colourful mushrooms there in future! any frags for me?
  6. how long was your dip? Anyway, your display tank already has ich. Even if you cure your clowns of their ich now and put them back into your dt, they will still be subjected to ich. Unless you want to run fishless for at least 4 weeks for the entire life cycle to finish. Like what others have said, no need to be too alarmed over ich unless your fish shows real signs of distress. But since you have already QT them, take the opportunity to monitor for other diseases, feed them with healthy food like spirulina, garlic etc. so their immune system gets stronger.
  7. Have not seen snowflake around... anyway coral farm is just further in from lck 201.
  8. v. nice frags you have there! Hope to see exponential growth... then
  9. Sometimes I understand why ppl don't post stuff online for others to see... haiz... So anyway, advertisement alert! Found a cheap alternative to expensive tongs after recommendation by Koji. Thanks! Bought from Daiso, cheap and effective. The only drawback I can think of is that it may rust easily since its not built for aquarium use. Introducing "Easy Catcher"! 33" in length, it has a reach of 26.5", good enough for normal 2ft depth tanks. Those with 2.5ft depth, sorry, part of your hand will still touch water.
  10. What kind of lights are you using and where is placement of your bta?
  11. lol I try to do it every 4-5 days. Sometimes might drag on till 1 week. The amt of junk tt comes out is never ending!
  12. From what I learnt from Henry, it could be external infection, could also be manifestation of internal parasites. Never easy to deduce the cause because these symptoms don't come out till much later. By then, could be too late to medicate.
  13. so good, your boss allow you to setup tank in office! Really neat looking set up you have there
  14. thing is we will never know the cause of death for these fish. Ventralis are super deepwater fish, could be tank conditions, acclimatization, handling from capture to Henry's. Beautiful fish, I hope there are some who adapt to tank life.
  15. It's too smelly to tahan taking photo! Anyway i posted this photo sometime back when my tank was extremely lightly stocked. My skimmate is at least 5 times more than this now. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...81266&st=20

Must read for nano keepers! Subscribed Sherman!
  17. My 2 turbo do a relatively good job of cleaning my algae. Of course i have 10+ nassarius and sand shifting star to handle my sandbed. Might be adding a sand dollar. I suggest to slowly add your cleaning crew. If not enough, add afew more, n continue the process. You don't wanna add 100 snails into your tank, n suddenly have zero algae in afew days and have 80% of them die on you due to lack of algae. Depends on how paranoid you are, you can look at hermit crabs, sea cucumbers, abalone, bumblebee, nassarius, tronchus snails to start off with. Effective, but look up some of the disadvantages of keeping them.
  18. lyretails at lck too. left 1 big male, plenty of diff sized females. and 1 big AT
  19. Is this your first WC? Are you cycling your tank or this is your first time changing in like a loooong time? For a routine WC, make sure your salinity, ph and temperature are about the same. Unless you are doing an emergency water change don't change more than 30% of your water. Try to minimize stress to your fish. and have a towel on hand in case you spill water on the floor. btw if you are mixing salt, aerate it at least 24hrs before changing. Longer is better.
  20. NSW cheaper, not as troublesome. Mix salt should give better parameters, 'safer' in terms of qc.
  21. do a diy thread! i'm sure there are many here who will appreciate it
