you will not be able to find many carpenters who would be willing to just make 1 cabinet, profit margin too low for them... Even if you find one, he might not be expert in tank cabinets/charge you a premium. Best is to get a tank maker who can do the cabinet for you too. Most LFS offer this service, or can choose to go with some of the popular ones here in src. Btw, I did mine with Yonghua.

lol but you already have 6xt5 fixture. Isn't tt good enough if you don't want to invest in led?

I have been following ed's tank for sometime now... Great inspiration! My next tank will also be something like that for starters, how high will your cabinet be? Must be careful if you are gonna do a low cabinet. Ed had some issues with fitting his skimmer into the cabinet. For the lighting, you might wanna wait for delightings to bring in their longer version. Should arrive next month will be watching your build for my future inspiration!

Way got a nicer one then let go your old one le... Tsk tsk! Up for your fishes, especially the exquisite. -
FTS which doesn't do justice to how bright this thing actually is. I have to agree with Jacky, the Iphone camera... not tt fantastic. If you look at the light distribution, the sides are alittle dark. This is a 3ft tank, so like I mentioned earlier, prob would perform best at 2ft and smaller tanks. I have to disagree with Jacky on the fan sound level. I think it's normal and at an acceptable level. Of course the unit is mounted in an outdoor environment, and compared to the home, might have a slight difference. Overall, it looks like a great product!

Picture of the clip on hanging kit. I don't think it is practical, especially for many of us with bracing. Prob need to diy a hanging kit. the cool driver with vortech pump behind for scale The compact, sleek design is really really mind-blowing!

Pics of test unit from Iwarna. The shimmer is nice, lights look pleasing to the eyes, and is powerful enough to reach this 1.5ft deep tank. Of course this is with the help of 2x30W white LED. (my mistake in my earlier post, it is the 160W version, not the 180E version) Might not be as energy efficient as the normal led fixtures in the market now.
-
My friend had the same problem, just replaced the mothrboard at Iwarna just now
-
I just left Iwarna, victor installed the 180w version on one of the tanks. Very impressive, will try to load photos when Im home... It's not enough to cover 3ft, prob 2ft is optimal. not as blue as royal blue, but I believe it is sufficient to bring out the luminous effect
-
lol no sweat la! No worries I agree with you about your concerns with led life of more unknown brands, I feel manufacturer has been very upfront in saying this is not an A grade product, and led life is only recommended for 2 years giving performance estimates. I guess the deal clincher is really the 18 month warranty. Anyway for your shallow tank, think these LEDs will work just fine. Like what Jacky has mentioned, PAR values are 150W equivalent.

I love eagle eyes! Lol Im not pro la... But would really love to improve my skills too! Next time you are going down to any lfs jio me along! But I only restricted to weekends, unless got major shipment

Lol actually have a rock of normal Zoas if you want... Very normal green zoas

bro, he already bought, test, show quite alot of pics le... how can consider rip off? Think China is really stepping forward v. quickly in the products they make. Sure, there are still cheap pirated stuff, but times are changing This product may not be able to compete with aqua illumination in terms of performance, but price n design wise, I think this scores quite well!
-
haha no need la, my eyes can verify wow late sat night for everyone!
-
hmmm i guess it's not royal blue effect? nvm will verify tmr thx for the pics bro! can't believe you actually did it... the driver looks real sleek too! wow great job by the chinese manufacturer!
-
hahaa obviously steve's workmanship! think it's their bestselling design
-
no need la.... lol I will see for my own eyes tmr! btw, there is a 70cm version coming out too for those who need longer fixtures
-
hmmm gotta be careful not to bleach your top corals. I remember Sherman saying something about 6" from LED to water surface.
-
great design! I'm so gonna go over your place tmr to check it out bro! are you planning to diy a hanging kit? pls do a formal review of the unit k? I'm sure everyone would love to know about the performance of this sleek black toy.
-
I feed when I feel like it? lol target feed at the most 1-2 times a week. but my tank gets flooded with cyclopeeze, mysis quite often...
-
nice setup! better run the hose tmr, 5ft tank, no joke to carry pails! and add prime too to get rid of the chloramines n other stuff. Busy day for you tmr bro! And it will be good to plan your rockwork on dry surface first and transfer...
