Give it some time to settle down la. The thing with this goby is it's so small! You will prob see it once in a blue moon. Lucky yours is a nano tank, at least still can spot. Put in my tank, cfm will never see it again until the day I decomm.

Agree. But don't think many bros here acclimatize our corals. Just remove from plastic bag and into the tank it goes. I try to do either a FW dip or TMPCC dip to get rid of possible hitchhikers before introducing into tank. Putting corals on the drip may sound quite extreme, but I think I will practice tt on the harder to keep corals in future. There was a thread by bro Fuel recently indicating it does increases the chances of keeping less hardy corals.

why would you still want to set to 30 degrees with a chiller? Fowlr tanks normally feature angels, anthias, tangs and other fishes that require lower temperatures. Worse if you intend to keep deepwater species. The little $ you save on electricity bills is little justification to $ lost when fish up lorry and loss of life. Even if your fish acclimatizes to the temperature, I still wouldn't do it. You can probably survive in the Sahara Desert with ample food and water, but would you like it?

Corals tend to be more sensitive to fluctuations. Preferably fish first.

haha I agree! but then again... Lemon's tastes lies somewhere else hor?

damn I need to visit Sitex... laptop totally cannot switch on wah 1 night and got so many new additions! great choice on the gobies and shrimp! They look really cute and you hopefully the pistol shrimp and yasha (is tt yasha?) pairs up. Will be really cool to watch them together. lol my first water change took me 2hrs. I have cut it down to 20min now. Just guessing... some water spilt on the floor and you had to mop? Then when you restarted your reefpack, it didn't work or something like tt?

Taken from website: Copepods that thrive in reef aquariums! These subtropical Harpacticoid copepods are a warm water species that will develop a thriving population in reef aquariums. Copepods are an especially nutritious small prey item for many corals and small fish. This species has an adult size of about 900 microns. Copepods feed on phytoplankton and are also an excellent scavenger, feeding on detritus of any kind. The best place for these copepods to reproduce and grow is in a refugium or aquarium. It is our intention to provide a starter culture of copepods that will thrive in reef aquariums. We cultured this species at an average temperature of 82.5°F (28°C), so it is a species that will do very well in a reef tank. These copepods are also very tolerant of cooler water and will do just fine in the 70’s, so they can be kept or cultured at normal room temperature. Harpacticoid copepods have a life span of approximately 2 months. Some of the adults that are harvested will be near the end of their life span. There will also be eggs hatching and other individuals that will not easily be visible without the aid of magnification. We have test jars that have been kept for months and it is obvious by their population that they are reproducing in the jars.

Counting down to tank delivery eh? Bro must open house to see your tank. I would love to see the tank workmanship in person!

What's so unimpressive about Bubble King bro? Care to share? Anyway it's unfair to compare btw the 2 skimmers coz they are not competing models at all. Besides this is for a 3x1.5x1.5 tank. Because of the heavier rated capacity, AP702 104W vs mini BK 160 18W. I don't think the AP702 is warranted here.

bro paiseh silver fish can be found at sheng shiong or NTUC? I just sneaked out of office to look for it in Cold Storage they don't have... Thinking of dropping by Bukit Panjang later to buy if they have. Anyone else care to direct me to the correct supermarket, and if possible correct section/alley in the supermarket to buy them? I dun really frequent supermarkets tt often and I bet the cold storage outside my house doesn't have them too...

Mini Bubble King 160 will be just nice.

bro 1ft cube tank hard to maintain. I suggest 1.5ft cube at least. A 1.5ft sump will already be v. tight. You prob will only be able to house algae scrubber and return pump. Take note if you are going to build a cabinet for this, the space within the cabinet is much < than 1.5ft.

wow selling like hot cakes! hopefully more bros will post their experiences with their set here!

haha you can if you want to, but don't think there are any benefits to it. I think I will feed mysis and give silverfish once in a while to keep them happy. btw don't buy mysis. I have alot. Can give to you.
-
heh think I know why need air bubbles le. Coz if you keep the container covered (dark), then oxygenation won't be enough. Otherwise, normal surface agitation will keep the water well oxygenated.

Wait till ure nh4 and no2 drops to zero before adding anything in. Hope you are not running any carbon right now. For me, skimmer can be turned on in 1 week's time. I don't switch on my lights during this period too. Don't top up evaporated water. Let the salinity slowly climb up to 1.025. Better for corals. At the end of the cycling process, do a min. 50% water change to reduce nitrates. Remember to check your phosphates too! What temperature are you keeping your tank at?
-
4-8. better call in advanced to check. Henry's aside, why don't you just feed them with mysis? not so much work for your skimmer.

Micro bubbles for aeration purposes maybe? The only thing I know is you need strong circulation to ensure there are no dead spots so tt all live rock remains live.
