  1. You should do a search on this forum... many good articles have been written on ich removal. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=79519 http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=83875 Garlic soaked food will not cure ich.
  2. Haven't been really following our members' tanks, but wooo finally more space to put your gems! remember to take more setup pics to share with us.
  3. When I was using my mp20, sometimes would hear some vibrations and weird noises. Realised eventually tt the wet and dry side are not aligned properly. Then after some exploring, realised that over time, the wavemaker was slipping downwards. Tt's why the instruction manual stated to clean both the wet side and dry side of the tank before mounting the wavemaker. Not sure if it helps, but if you can't solve the problem, best to bring it back to Victor as it's still under warranty.
  4. bro the baby bt usually aren't easy to keep. Anyway not to discourage you, but BTs are known to grow big really fast and will outgrow your tank in no time. A small 3" bt can double in size really quickly. Up to you to make the decision. Anyway, keeping the fishes in your sump first is not qt. Yes it might not be as stressful as it is dark and no aggressive fishes to attack. The reason why you might not see ich in your fishes in the display tank is because they are already fighting fit and can shrug off ich (since it's already ich infested like you mentioned). Does not mean they weren't infected with ich from your new fish. Like you said, if you don't have the space to keep a qt tank, the next best thing is to house them in the sump. Give them some peace and quiet and hope they fight off ich and wean to processed food before adding to your dt.
  5. Because yours is a pico tank, water change is essential. I think weekly is the bare minimum. However, start changing only after your cycling process is completed. I still prefer salt mix to NSW, especially since you won't be changing much at anytime, the costs and hassle of mixing salt yourself is not as great as compared to a 100G tank.
  6. RD brings in profilux, so far only heard of these 2 brands available to local market.
  7. Got the airline tubing too! now we all know u use a thinkpad
  8. Wow bro really nice fish room you have there. Exciting setup!
  9. I agree with this top up by Iwarna. Cheap and as convenient, especially since u always go to buy your wc from them too.
  10. Wanna get syringe for target feeding? Remember to get some airline tubing to help u too (the hard ones) hmmm v. hard to say when tank is matured, some say need at least 1 year. But as long as you let the system stabilise before adding more lifestock, and then let it stabilise again etc. then shouldn't face much problems.
  11. Actually I think should be able to see visible growth in 1-2 months. I have an unproven theory tt different types rocks will affect coralline growth. Dunno how to explain in words, but i notice for some 'type' of rock you can see growth almost instantaneously (within 1-2 weeks after daily dosing). Others after 1-2 months, you only see spots of coralline starting to grow.
  12. wah Justin, your tank's looking good! Quite fast and furious stocking too, so should stop for awhile to let the system stabilize yeah? Don't want your tank to crash coz it just start up, not matured yet.
  13. the tigger sure looks beautiful! The light stand looks much better but does the space still feel alittle too cluttered?
  14. wow the favia is really eye popping insanely colourful!
  15. i used to dose everyday according to the instructions of the bottle. Coralline growth was healthy. Now I just dose calcium, coralline is also growing. I realise coralline also grows faster in blue light. Ever since I added my blue LEDs, growth has increased by alittle. So you might want to leave your blue lights on for a longer period if you want to increase growth?
  16. open house +100! I hope you solve the chller problem soon. Otherwise can consider drop in titanium coil linked to external compressor. Have to get your friendly air con guy to do it.
  17. lol i'm sure the filter sock is super clean. but errr what about the rest of the clothes u put inside? I don't think I will waste a machine load of water just to wash 1 filter sock...
  18. is it long, thin and white like a thread?
  19. Wah it's pretty high maintanence actually. But goes to show it's efficiency
  20. Peter, wanna ask how often do you intend to clean the socks and how many times will you reuse it?
  21. Actually if possible, get them after they have been acclimatized and weaned to frozen for ~3-4 weeks. Coz sometimes quarantine also doesn't work.
  22. could be too high flowrate? shift them to low flow, low light and observe?
  23. can catch up later! Think we might have to make areservation if the grp gets bigger. fun!
  24. 12.15 outside starbucks! hmmm could be internal parasites, or just couldn't take the switch to processed food. Sad, but prob won't last through the day.
