  7. woo thanks for hosting us desi and ketchup! Had a blast last night! The pics look great!
  8. How many hours of lighting do you run on your tank? Can reduce the hours of white light if you want. Do you have direct sunlight on your tank? Have you checked your tank parameters? Don't assume since you're running chemicals, it's sufficient. And actually, are you expecting no algae, no need to clean tank walls? lol I think this is a maintenance issue, everyone has to clean their tank walls every few days or algae will start to grow la. Part of the husbandry. No, this is not like your normal tubes. If you wait until the ends of the tubes have black lines, your corals prob would have been light starved for a long time!
  9. by the time you notice something wrong with your corals will be too late le... Better to just steak to the rule of thumb and change your tubes frequently. Another thing to take note of is that you don't want to shock your corals by changing all tubes at the same time. I try to rotate my changing of tubes so the difference in PAR is not that great, and the corals are slowly acclimatized to the brigher lights.
  10. The best way of course is to use a PAR meter to test your readings. Otherwise, depending on your lighting hours, better to err on the wrong side and change earlier. I would say 6hrs daily lighting can last you approx. 10 to 12. Longer daylight timings, just adjust accordingly
  11. lol never see any anthias this shipment, but i think they have leftover sunburst and dispar...
  12. lol if it's urgent I can go back n collet it for u later.

Hahaa yes I'm intending to give my tank a good scrub tonight... but no pics yet, I'm alittle 'pantang' the last few times I posted pics, dunno why my fish decided he didn't like the attention and up lorry. Nothing much also la, like i said, it's like a fowlr tank now already. haha just need to clear my work before my boss goes on long leave next week. tt's why yesterday abit peevey (some of you might have noticed tt through my posts )
  18. uh oh... I haven't been checking my tank thread! errm pbt is doing great! Never had a single white spots outbreak, think SL's fishes really are good eh? Its finally feeding ferociously after being starved for 1 week. Really happy! I think my tank's turning into a fowlr at the rate I'm going... red slime pls go away soon!
  19. lol good to know tt my cyclopeeze will still last a long time
  20. Bro that's one massive upgrade you did! your fishes will be really happy. just upgraded from studio apartment to bungalow
  21. Boss has a pinned thread on this already http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=80504 Pasted here yo make things easier. For eg. Product A has Power Consumption of 10 Watts Product A Power Consumption : 10 Watts/1000 = 0.01kWh 0.01kWh X No. of hours used per day X No. of days used in a month = (Value)kWh Amount to be paid per month = (Value)kWh X Tariff rate so 28/1000*24*30*0.2521 = $5.08 you're right!
  22. No harm done leaving it on 24/7 especially with the kind of bioload you guys have It also helps with aeration. I'm sure majority of us leave it on 24/7, some switch it off during feeding or when adding some additives into tank.
  23. btw just wondering if anyone knows how long cyclopeeze can last in the freezer?
