  1. haha but 3 lyretails 1 will definitely morph to be a male. Not to say the male lyretail isn't nice, but female one really alot prettier btw bro lemon, where did u get your royal gamma from? still got stock?
  2. Nice! hope everything is under control this time round Just a thought, if you are intending to keep many fishes might want to consider changing to a more powerful skimmer. Plenty of good used skimmers can be found cheap in pasar malam of at LFS. Just a small investment to keep your water cleaner.
  3. bro dun mind me hop on here... Im interested in a small frag of blue/purple hornets too. Anyone willing to frag 2 sets for hellbliss n me? (priority to hellbliss of course)
  4. Really nice exquisite you have there. Think the coral beauty's jealous of the wrasse haha Hope you find an owner for coral beauty soon! Then can enjoy the colours fully. How's the new elegance doing?
  5. So many names for zoas I don't think it's Alfa & Omega either... the skirting not so colourful. Or maybe I'm not taking good care of them...
  6. Plate Coral, Long tentacled purple n luminous green Anyone knows if low flow is ok for this coral? My current placement is in a relatively low flow area, the tentacles are drooping, but sway alittle bit from time to time.
  7. haha gif lor. Although everytime I go he always say v. good discount le! Still got summore addition! hahaa busy night... after GO went to a nice reefer's place to get more corals!
  8. Photo Updates! Normal hammer. Think will get more of these to decorate my rock. Not alot of colour, but should look nice once my rocks get fully encrusted with coralline. Trachyphyllia, Open Brain! I love brains. They come in so many colours splashed on them, really amazing corals. And influence from Lemon's tank. When I saw these last week, my perception on shrooms changed straightaway! hahaa bro, u r v. bad poison becoming a GO fan. hopefully Robin and Shan start dishing out more discounts for me... Already tempting me to make bigger purchase items.
  9. Yeah! I will gladly pay any anyone who can successfully counsel my YCB to stop thinking it's fat and start eating... haha must be female goby I tell you...
  10. haha I just transferred only... will do some photo taking later. Anyway, my tank nothing much to boast of la... maybe can boast algae bloom Really have to think of a way to solve all that hair algae growing on my sandbed. hehe I got 1 brain, the rest still hunting for nice specimens. Realise it's a skill to judge whether the coral rock you chose at LFS fits onto your planned position... Super no skill at this. hahaa will update with pics soon! Can entertain more guesses on my other purchases? Anyway, I'm interested in getting an elegance, can anyone share with me tips on how to care? bro lemon maybe can share with me your experience?
  11. You can't keep the brown tang in the beta box forever... and I think 4 tangs are definitely too much for your 3ft. It would be a good idea to sell it away. Can consider selling away 1 of your blue tangs too. I think 2 is prob the max you wanna squeeze in your tank. Some reefers will go as far as saying no tang should be kept in a tank smaller than 4 ft.
  12. three cheers for my yellow clown goby! Finally saw it gobble 1 small piece of cyclop eeze and didn't spit it out! hope it really starts feeding more. Just came back from GO and saw afew big fat YCBs. Mine is anorexic in comparison. hmmm wallet's feeling super light... anyone care to guess what new purchases i made?
  13. gratz! That will be really great! Now that you have poisoned me... I'm considering either getting 2 female, 1 male, or 1 male, 1 female, 1 female lyretail... or 1 male, 1 lyretail n another anthias... oh man... btw, are lyretails also part of hawaii shipment? Any other exotic looking anthias that are relatively ok to keep that come in during these shipment...?
  14. Thanks for the lovely pic! haiz... poisoning me to get it... hahaa
  15. ayez... apparantly they always get snapped up v. quickly. Iwarna's really far for me, by the time I make my way down, all prob sold le!
  16. How about my layman thinking? Apart from the electrical leaking thingy, I actually find Hydor appealing. Lower wattage, cheaper. But Tunze smaller...
  17. I think just right la! And didn't point out, but your lyretail anthias really looks pretty. Just wanted to ask, according to liveaquaria, these anthias require minimal 125 gallons and can grow up to 5"!!! Suitable for 3 ft or will outgrow the tank eventually?
  18. IQ3 is really too small to keep a reef tank. I don't think you will be happy just seeing 1 small zoa frag in it right? Can check out the nano tanks forum on how some of the reefers maintain their nano tanks. The smaller the tank, the more meticulous you have to be in maintaining the tank, or things can quickly deteriorate, and lead to loss of fishes/corals. Especially since you might face resistance in keeping a marine tank, I suggest to do a lot more research before deciding whether to take the plunge. It is an expensive hobby which takes up time, and lots of effort, and might even lead to more tension especially when things go wrong (which is more likely to happen the smaller the tank). Very sad to see ppl giving up because they didn't anticipate the problems initially or didn't do enough research and tank crash. However the rewards are definitely plentiful! For eg. staring at my tank the other night soothed away my headache from work!
  19. bro you don't have tt many fishes right? How can bioload be high? your coral beauty is really too bad I can't fit him into my tank, otherwise would love to try.
  20. hehe bro u always camping at lfs! anyone knows if hawaii shipment coming in soon? I'm looking for bartletts
  21. I believe the article that was discussed was taken from here: http://avdil.gtri.gatech.edu/RCM/RCM/Aquar...dingProbes.html I'm no electrician, but a proper discussion if you are interested could be started in a new thread... think abit too le.
  22. hmm remember a reefer here posted sometime back on an article about how ground probes actually run a small amt of current in your tank... I'm using Vortech now, the power outlet's supposed to be outside the tank, so shouldn't have any problem with leakage right? I don't think can penetrate glass as its a good insulator. anyway stray further from thread, I agree tt Deltec is becoming more 'affordable', in a sense. More ppl upgrading to BK? wow, how reefers getting $$ during recession!
  23. yupz they did, thx for the bottle! Never felt so happy seeing yellow poop. how about you? does it help with ich as claimed?
