hehe it's so funny how we get anxiety attacks by these lovely creatures. Anyway I have sacrificed these angels for the zoas. Hope to fine other hardy fishes compatible with zoas. Any suggestions?

treating ich with garlic
dryDiver replied to Zoa guy's topic in Disease treatment/parasite/pest control
i have used garlic on the white spot n it cleared after the 2nd application. that was 2 yrs ago. i have also tried fresh water dip. if u dont have reverse osmosis water, u can use boiled water . 15mins max i feed my fishes with galic (chopped n mashed, to make it easy to swallow) finely chopped with fish meat etc. BUT over the 2yrs of enjoying n learning this hobby, i have come to accept that water change (WC) is the best cure. cheers -
hi zoa lovers, do angels n zoa mix? I m wondering if my bi-color or flame angel been pecking on my fav zoas n causing them not to open. Come n share ur experiences. tks cheers

Recommended Super Hardy corals that cannot die
dryDiver replied to stevenchia's topic in General Reefkeeping_
hi mini-reefer, thanks for sharing, nice tank u have. Very well stock with corals What is ur temp like at its peak? Personally i find weekly water change challeging n dont know if i can keep up that maintenance schedule. thats why they thought of filtration n skimmers n dosers etc for the more laid- back people. Heres my experience with yellow tip bird nest - temp 29.5c n still going strong, i think this is the limit. Zoas have seen temp of 32c recently n still ok - btw this is a separate tank. cheers -
that's real nice. r they sunflower? That's what i notice also, under different lighting we see different colors, eg green can be yellow

the 2nd piece from the right looks like a mushroom that has turned brown due to lack of light or cus is being blocked by the paly. i may be mistaken, cus its partially hidden by the paly. btw, what camera did u use?

http://www.livingreefs.com/these-sundial-snails-t11516.html the above link is similar to the prob that i have. the name of the 'nerite' that i have is Collonista amakusaensis. a long name for a short 1cm snail (thats the biggest it gets). confirms that it comes out only at night, the shell is smooth unlike the sundial is rippled Meanwhile i will keep my nocturnal watch to see if it eats nudi or my precious zoa

Over the weeks I have noticed some colonies of eagle eyes r not as brilliant/bright as others. Is this correct? Or is the less brilliant colored ones called sun flower zoa? Thanks for ur comments Cheers

i just bought flame angel. 1st day was ok. 2nd day was staring at rock. today, this morning was hyper breathing n died soon after. wonder what caused it? stomach is nice n fat, no wounds, no broken tail/fin. wonder if it got stung by pali? n died from that. Tell tale sign is this morning 1 patch of my zoa/pali was closed. btw, the other flame n bi color still around.

''Hi, Nice Zoa you have.. Pls check the one in Circle is it Sundial snail? Pls remove the sundail asap before all zoas wipe off....'' ohh, tks for the advice n compliment:). i checked, its not a snail, just a piece of coral. what i have in the tank sump is nerite, i think. here's the pic for comfirmation, are nerites (if they are,) any harm to zoas?

the polyps turned dark, so i threw it away. this is quite an unusual case.
