Hi bro, is ur purple tang feeding? My PT also caught the white spot when i just brought into the tank. However it was feeding actively and was able to fight off the ich on its body. Now it is a strong & healthy fish.

Hi bro, tangs are mainly vegetarian or herbivorous fish feeding on seaweed n algaes in their natural enviroment. IMO, u should provides mainly veges foods like dry flakes made from seaweed & algaes n dry seaweed.The dry pellets are primary made from fish or shrimp meat which the herbivorous fish likes tangs may not able to digest properly. You may do some fish dietary check with the LFS or search on the internet on fishes that you intent to keep. Hopes it helps. Happy reefing.

Yes, I brought one from uncle Bac last weekend. So far so good. It is feeding on anything on offer and cope well with others cos I got a bigger size one. Since it arrival, i tend to overfeed the fishes cos it quite skinny till can see the bone. Hope for the best.

I was advised to place a mirror at the side of the tank to divert the attention of the bullies. It ur new PT same size or smaller than ur YT? If smaller you may have to isolate the YT in betta box to let the new comer times to adapt. Another way is to create a hiding cave by re-arrange the liverock for the new fish. Hope it helps, Cheers.

Hi bro, i am newbie here too. Running cost of a reef tank is very high but fowlr tank is very low. If u have a tight budget then do a fowlr tank with just simple set up tank,lightset, hangon skimmer, live rock and fishes. Feel free to check out the pasar malam for 2nd hand stuffs. Cheers.

I got a pair of 2" CS fr reefer 6 mths ago. Lately 1 of the shrimp develop a lump on the body n soon died shortly and was eaten by her buddy shrimp. Anythings dies is food liao.

Hello bros, I have a spare 12mm thick 2' cube tank with cabinet. It had been left dry for almost 3 years. My question is it safe to use for marine tank after so long dryness? If it is not safe, what can be done to re-condition it? I am planning to use it as mangrove refugium. Many thanks.

Hi folks, just to share here. I had started with a Regal tang about 4" . Follow by PBT 3" & last purple tang 2". Knowing that my purple tang is the wiping boy at start. I have set up a small enclosed rock clave for her to hide. It really helps her to cope well n shield from other tangs aggressions. After all, sizes does matters of who rules the tank. Cheers.
