  1. adds variety to my current "normal" collection of mushrooms.. something different
  2. just to confirm, normal dose = 100ml(1 teaspoon) for 400L my tank volume is appx 200L... so therefore my normal dose is (1/2 teaspoon)... the instructions state to use four fold dose daily until nutrients fall, so i guess i've to slowly increase my dosage to 2 teaspoons, then i'll do it until nutrients fall?
  3. oh ok.. let me read up more about Ultra Min D... actually i've not tried the ultra life was quite busy with my other stuff... my NO3 is quite high actually.. haha.. will try tonight dosing daily, will monitor for results and update here again
  4. hmmm.. heard it from other reefers that steven from LCK said that this last batch would be one of the last... as for my pipefish, disappeared... so i assumed gone.. no chance for me to try to train it to take mysis... no worries man, although i'm trying very hard to understand what you guys are talking about yup... like the mushrooms.. thanks.. didnt expect that.. sorry had to rush off that day currently on my frag rack until it grows bigger, dont want it to "disappear" somewhere into my tank... haha...
  5. looks like i've to go purchase my own personal chopper.. lol.. dont want my own kitchen's chopper to be stained with "zoas juice"
  6. i was told they came in yesterday evening... there were also cute and small octopuses there.. nice hairy mushrooms and mini plates there as well... saw tons of blue zoas... in the tank beside the clams.. not sure if they're blue tubs, you may check it out.. haha.. i'm bad in ID-ing stuff...
  7. some indo zoas i got from iwarna today.. HUGE rocks.. any idea how can i frag them? i dont need such a big rock and i think a normal knife wouldnt work..
  8. yuppp... they come out after lights out to eat detritus, left-over food etc..
  9. yes you're right.. haha.. thanks for the interest guys, coral reserved, thread close
  10. hope to see your tank one day... love the softies/ LPS sector..
  11. selling away a colony of cloves.. $10 PM me if you're interested more information here: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=597+599+694&pcatid=694
  12. wow thanks lemon.. even typing "super sun coral" on google doesnt give me much information.. i also wanted to find out why this species of sun had been banned from coming to our shores.. do you happen to know the reason as well? you should write a book one day, i'm serious.. lol.. yea.. trying to get it to feed on mysis.. currently still on pods... not sure how long can it last... like to see it swim.. slow and peaceful..
  13. cant find much info on the actual species of "supersun" coral itself.. when google supersun, most of the time results of the normal sun coral comes up.. although yea, the care of it is very much the same...
  14. some new additions to my tank... Got these from SeaLife... and saw this at AquaMarin... itchy hand went to buy it.. read that it can be easily be weaned into taking mysis shrimps.. hopefully it will soon
  15. thanks for the information bro... one of the supersun head that was not opened on the first day is showing signs of recovery tenticals are starting to open up more... hopefully by next week it can be fully open like the rest
  16. check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oaz7uODm48
  17. i would leave it there.. but have to bring it out to remove all the uneaten food, if not it'll pollute your tank.. another trick that i learnt from another reefer is to put a small mirror into the fish trap.. if your fish is those that are more towards the aggressive side, they'll "attack" when they see their "own kind", which is actually the reflection of itself in the mirror.. this way there are chances that it may dart in.. if you're really desperate you can do it the hard way, stop feeding your fishes totally, only throw food into the trap... is the entrance for the fish big enough, i noticed you have a string attached to it... i think thats even better, you can let them swim in and out naturally and once your targeted fish is in, you can pull it vertically upwards...
  18. saw quite a number at LCK as well...
  19. maybe the market is not there.. thats why they never bring in..
  20. yea.. still have alot when i left... i think getting the $60 is more worth it.. you'll know what i mean when you're there tank temperature is 26-28 degrees.. the super suns opened immediately within minutes after i blew the "smell" of henry's food over them... (lights were not on yet) when they came out i started target feeding them... after the lights came on, they remained open all the way, until right now they're still open.. amazing! one of the heads out of the 7 i got however didnt open at all despite all the feedings.. hopefully over time i can get it to open...
  21. yea.. thats the down side of keeping suns sadly.. have to keep feeding, esp the normal suns i believe if they can photosynthesize the price of suns wouldnt be so cheap already.. haha..
